also known as Paul J. Whiting, III, Paul Whiting, Paul Whiting III
Paul J. Whiting III grew up in Wixom, Michigan, and was a standout student-athlete at Walled Lake Western High School. Upon graduating in 1995 near the top of his class, he attended Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan, on academic and basketball scholarships. He transferred to the University of Detroit to complete his bachelor’s degree and played basketball for the Titans during their 1999 season, which culminated in the league championship and an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.
With another year of eligibility and several invitations to play basketball overseas, Paul made what he describes as “one of the toughest, but best decisions ever he ever made” by forgoing his basketball career to become a lawyer. In 1999, he passed up his final year of eligibility to enter Wayne State University Law School.
Paul earned his Juris Doctor in May 2002, and by July of that year accepted a position at Lipton Law. Paul’s fierce, competitive spirit on the basketball court carried over to his legal career. It’s that same spirit that drew Lipton Law and Paul together. In 2011, Paul formed his own law firm, Whiting Law, where he continues to fight for the rights of injured individuals in Michigan.
Recognized as an expert in Michigan No-Fault Law by his peers, Paul frequently lectures on this and many other topics, including business practices for lawyers. His areas of specialty include automobile accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, dog bites, premise cases and medical malpractice. Paul also sits as an arbitrator on other attorneys’ cases.
Paul is an Executive Board Member of the Michigan Association of Justice (formerly the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association), a Member of the American Association of Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association) and the Michigan State Delegate to the American Association of Justice. Paul has also been recognized as a “Rising Star” by “Michigan Super Lawyers” for several years.

Highly Recommended!!!
Mr. Whiting and his firm were fantastic in helping my family when we need help dealing with our insurance company. His team of paralegals put our minds at ease by handling all the issues raised by the adjuster. Then when the insurance company didn't pay Mr. Whiting handled the law suit personally. We...

My Case
Very Very Unprofessional! This Firm should be closed down for business. My Paralegal never returned my phone calls and when she did she was very disrespectful and short with me. I have had at least 4 different paralegals on my file in 2 years so I guess they didn't want to stay with this firm either....
"Paul is very hard working and does an outstanding job for his clients. He is well prepared, honest, and a pleasure to work with."
"Mr. Whiing is one of the most exemplary and extraordinary attorneys that I have encountered in 24 years of practice. Despite being a judge, magistrate, prosecutor, and private attorney for nearly two and a half decades, I continue to learn valuable information from his posts every day. I would highly recommend."
"I recently got to know Paul at a legal group conference. It provided me an excellent opportunity to personally hear him speak about his expertise in the practice area of personal injury. I highly recommend him as an attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. A rising star in 2010 and 2011 this is a lawyer who you would be fortunate to have on your side."
"I endorse Mr. Whiting. As evidenced by the number of questions he has answered on Avvo, he has a great understanding of the law. One can deduce through his many work experiences that he is a stellar attorney."
"I've know Paul for a couple of years now. He is a tireless advocate for his clients and the pursuit of justice. You can count on him to bring expertise, passion, and concern for his client's needs."
"I have worked with Paul for years and highly recommend his firm for legal work on the east side of Michigan. He is particularly knowledgeable and skilled in helping individuals obtain rightful benefits from their auto insurance company following a serious accident (and wrongful denial of benefits) and disability benefits from the state."
"Paul Whiting is an excellent attorney and friend. I had the pleasure of working with him on an auto accident case recently. Paul was aggressive, smart, dedicated and very hard working. I would strongly recommend him as a lawyer."
"Paul Whiting is, simply, an outstanding advocate for his clients. In an era where insurance companies delay and deny claims in an effort to make clients desperate to settle for anything they can get, Paul patiently guides his clients through the process and holds insurance companies and defendants fully accountable for damages. Paul has my highest recommendation."
"Paul is an incredible lawyer who is unwilling to accept anything less than full reimbursement for all of his client's harms and losses. Despite pressure from large insurance corporations to settle, Paul is capable of taking any matter to trial to allow the community to decide the full measure of damages for his clients. I highly recommend Paul if you or anyone you love has suffered an injury through the negligence of another. Paul has a unique ability to aggressively represent his client's while demonstrating an incredible degree of compassion for their suffering."
"I've known Paul for 15 years. Paul is a professional and I refer him all my social security disability cases. If you don't handle SSD yourself, then refer them to Paul."
"I endorse this lawyer. Paul is a skilled advocate who knows how to get the job done for automobile and motorcycle victims. He works hard to get the best result for his clients."
