Wonderful work

Going through a divorce is very hard. So speaking with the right attorney is needed. From the initial consultation, my attorney has been with me every step of the way. From the paperwork to zoom calls, I've never felt like I was going through this alone. If you're looking for an attorney who has comp...assion and empathy, look no further. I'm grateful for your assistance.

A waste of money.

I hired her for a divorce because initially she said her retainer fee was $500 after I consulted with her she let me know within 30 days or 60 she would need another 550$. She did not look for or locate my husbands 401k which I asked her to do. She did set up my mediation and took another retainer f...rom me after my first court date of 1000. For a total of $2050.00, I had another better attorney with much more experience say they could help me and it would cost about 2000 but I went with her because I didn't have a lot of money to spend but I ended up paying her just as much as them. The court hearing was 30 minutes and she was in mediation for a few hours that is all the time she spent with me the rest was calling I guess and emails but basically she did nothing for me for the first 1050.00 but the 40 minutes in court. Then for the other 1000.00 she went to mediation for a couple of hours. My divorce was final on August the 21st. I have never received anything from child support yet and I have no knowledge of when I will get it monthly, weekly or where it will come from the last three checks she gave me when i picked up the divorce papers all bounced. Also I feel she didn't advise me well as to what the papers say about my half of the equity that I'm entitled to in the house. She sent me a letter saying that she had fulfilled her obligation and that she was withdrawing as my attorney and when I contacted her to find out about something else (child support, health ins) she said I'm sorry I am no longer your attorney you need to contact his attorney and find out yourself. The problem is I have a protective order against my ex husband and I can't just contact him to find out anything for myself. So here it is 3 months later and I still have yet to get an insurance card for my son and NO child support STILL. I am supposed to sign over my rights to the house via a quick deed and he is supposed to refinance it and give me my half of the equity the problem is i feel I will do that, then my name will be off of the house and he will have no reason to refinance it and our mortgage was bought three or four years ago by Chase and they show that the equity is only 13000. But we only owe 50,000 and the house is worth 120,000. I feel I'm going to lose my share of it because my divorce papers DO Not read or say the right thing. Something my attorney should have caught and made right at arbitration and she should have found the 80,000 he had withdrew out of his 401k after I left him in January. She was told my sons right birthday several times and it's still wrong on my final papers and I could go on and on.,, If you want an attorney who is just there and does pretty much nothing this is your attorney, she gets nothing done and doesn't help other than being there. She is useless, She is nice but not good at being an attorney. Good luck if you hire her you're going to need it.

It is very interesting that you write this as an anonymous review because these are all lies. And out of almost 10 excellent reviews, this one does not make sense. If you read the story above, it speaks for itself that it is inaccurate and illogical. Anonymous person, when you originally contacted me, you stated that you needed an attorney, but you did not have the funds. Because I really want to help, I told you what my retainer is, but would place you on a payment plan to HELP YOU. We spoke a handful of times before your consultation. We also talked about how the state offers free legal aid services to lower income residents. You stated you did not want to go that route and scheduled your consultation at my office. At your own fee will, you SIGNED THE RETAINER AGREEMENT WITH THE PAYMENT PLAN AND MY HOURLY RATE. Already, what you stated in your review about payment is false. The total amount you paid is also false, and I have the retainer agreement and receipts to prove that. I am not going to blast on the internet the details of your case, because I am very professional. I will state that I was able to: 1. Help you with a payment plan because of your lack of funds 2. Help you obtain custody of your child, which was priority for you 3. Help obtain the protective order with co-counsel against your ex husband 4. Help you set up parenting time between your son and his father. 5. Honor your wishes of not being in court if we did not need to. As you recall, your preliminary hearing was short because we came to a preliminary agreement with opposing counsel, which was EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED. Coming to an agreement is a positive, not a negative. You did not see ALL of what went on behind the scenes, working with the court, opposing counsel, discovery and other relevant matters before that court date. And as you recall, his attorney kept continuing court dates and we stopped that, to move the case along. 6. Along with that, we came to an agreement about your ex husband paying child support for your son. IT IS YOUR EX-HUSBAND'S FAULT FOR WRITING GOOD AND THEN BOUNCED CHECKS TO YOU AND NOT PAYING CHILD SUPPORT. As you saw, we reached out several times to his attorney to get that taken care of. He said he would get it taken care of. Your ex-husband is responsible for paying child support and his attorney has to monitor HIS CLIENT. 7. Again, you told me several times that YOU DID NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO COURT FOR A FINAL HEARING. That is why we decided on mediation, which judges order anyway before a final hearing. You wanted to end your marriage as quickly as possible and mediation was the next step. Mediation was for several hours and the mediator drafted the agreement. You and your husband signed by your own free will. If your ex husband is not, or doesn't comply with the agreement in the future, that is his fault. Again, you obtained custody of your child, etc. The issue with the 401k, we sought that and in your husband's financial declaration, he stated he did not have one (he signed under penalty of perjury) and his attorney confirmed. I'm not sure what more you wanted. 8. Lastly, the mediator typed the divorce decree, and sent along with the mediated agreement for the Judge to sign, which he did. I did not write it and if the date of birth of your son was incorrect, that was a minor error by someone else. That does not change the fact that you have custody of your son. Since mediation was a success, there was no need to go back to court. I know you are frustrated by the actions (and in-actions) of your ex-husband and his attorney, but you do not need to take it out on someone who did not turn you away when you stated you didn't have funds, but placed you on a payment plan and advocated for you for months. Lastly, this was not the proper forum for this. You could have called and set up a meeting for us to talk and clarify any questions you had. That would have been the adult thing to do
