Outstanding! A real fighter!

You do not need to continue looking at anymore reviews for a disability attorney because you have just found the absolute best! I am extremely fortunate to have found Ed Ahlers. He is a fighter, and he will fight for you! He put 110% effort into winning my case. From our very first phone call, Ed ...always made me feel comfortable because he is so easy to talk too and explains things well. I immediately picked up on his dedication and learned quickly that his skill, knowledge, and experience in disability law was extensive. Applying for social security disability benefits can be incredibly stressful especially when you do not have an attorney like Ed. He made it seem easy and took a huge amount of my stress away. Before I even hired Ed, he spent at least an hour of his time answering my many questions about the application process. He returns every phone call quickly, if not immediately. Even on Saturdays and Sundays! He emailed often to make sure I remembered to meet certain deadlines. Ed recently won my case, and it was kind of bittersweet when he gave me the "good" news that I'm disabled. While I did have a physically demanding career, it was also a rewarding one and I never dreamed I would one day be disabled. So, if you are truly disabled, there is only one attorney you want working on your case and that is Ed! I can never begin to thank Ed and his assistant Barbara enough for all their hard work and dedication. I will forever appreciate both and all their efforts.

BEST ATTORNEY EVER and SO CARING

My particular reason for using Ed Ahlers was for a Social Security Disability claim. I will start by saying that Ed is strides above any professional that I have worked with. From my first phone call with Ed, he was so impressive for not only his knowledge of the process but how much he truly cared. ...I don’t think the man ever stops working! A good bit of my communication was email and it seemed that no matter when I emailed him, he responded. I did not have to call him or email him twice, he always was back to me very quickly and many times with extreme detail. From my first initial call with Ed he made me feel like a babe in mama’s arms. I knew that I made the right decision going with Ed to represent me. He was so detailed, so precise in the information sent to the hearing judge that the judge made the ‘YES” decision the day before the hearing, so the hearing was not needed and canceled. I truly feel that Ed went above and beyond for me and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to go through the Social Security Disability process.

A Bulldog in Enforcing Your Rights

After foolishly applying for social security disability myself, and getting rejected, I was referred to Ed Ahlers by another attorney at Crowley, Ahlers, and Roth. (They also doggedly worked to get my wife her rightful worker's compensation benefits!) Mr. Ahlers took everything in hand, relieving me ...of the substantial paperwork burdens required by the SSA. He communicated with my doctor to get the perfect answers to the relevant questions. When an initial appeal resulted in a second denial, I was ready to give up. Instead, Ahlers took it on himself to both boost me and prove to SSA that their analysis was not just wrong but unjust. He filed for direction with an administrative law judge who declared positive judgement for my case. Without Ed, I would be killing myself trying to work again. Instead the judge agreed with him that SSA was absolutely wrong in their denial!

True blessing

Mr. Ahlers is an excellent attorney. He was very compassionate and caring. He understood what I was going through, which made it easy to talk with him. He was there for me when I had questions, and he explained, the whole S.S Disability process to me. He was very prompt in receiving and returning my ...phone calls, I was in the loop the whole time. I have had a pleasant experience with Mr. Ahlers, that I would refer them to anyone else in need of a S.S Disability attorney. The best part of this long process was Mr.Ahlers putting in his expertise and hard work for me, and in return the outcome for me was a true blessing! I truly appreciate everything, Mr. Ahlers has done for me, Thank you Ed!

Excellent Handling of Long Term Disability Insurance Issue

I contacted Mr. Ahlers after my long term disability insurer stopped my benefits stating that I no longer met their definition of "disabled" after two years, which was basically that if you can do "anything for 40 hours a week" you do not qualify. Mr. Ahlers put me in touch with the proper folks to t...est and evaluate me and put together the documents needed to contest that claim. After submitting it, the insurer promptly restored my benefits, including the back payments. Mr. Ahlers did a wonderful job explaining what we needed to do, and addresssing my feels and concerns along the way. I would have no issues with hiring him again, or referring my friends or family to his care.
