After completing law school, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, Rob practiced as a felony prosecutor in Clermont County, Ohio. During these years he gained valuable trial experience handling cases of significant importance to the community and the individual victims. His years spent as a police officer and felony prosecutor have taught Rob that many times his clients are wrongfully accused or overcharged, or their constitutional rights have been violated in the pursuit by police for a suspect. He uses these years of experience investigating and litigating cases to aggressively defend his clients against a system that has unlimited resources.
Rob is also a Certified Public Accountant who has worked for both large corporations and small businesses. He continues to maintain his CPA license and knows how to get to the bottom of large company financials to learn the real truth about solvency and their ability to pay for hurting others.
Rob’s practice concentrates on the areas of criminal defense (white collar, DUI, traffic, felony, misdemeanor and juvenile), personal injury, domestic relations (divorce, separation, child support and custody), estate planning, and business litigation/consulting.
Rob maintains professional associations with the Ohio State Bar Association, Cincinnati Bar Association (member of the Solo and Small Firm Section), Clermont County Bar Association (where he serves on the grievance committee), Potter Stewart Inn of Court, Ohio Association for Justice, and the Accountancy Board of Ohio. Rob is admitted to practice in the state courts of Ohio and Kentucky, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Truly the best attorney in Cincinnati!
Mr. Herking is truly the best attorney in Cincinnati! He was very timely(same day response) in answering e-mails and phone calls, and very flexible about the time and location of scheduling meetings He was empathetic and patient, but also very straight forward about the seriousness of the charge...

My name is Kim and was charged with 3- felony 2 charges & 1- felony 3
I was faced with a certain prison term, but Mr. Herking worked diligently with the prosecutor and I was offered a plea deal of 2- felony 3 charges. I took the plea deal and received 4 years probation. Mr. Herking kept me informed with every aspect of my case, through phone calls and text messages. ...
"I work as in house counsel for a multi-national pharmaceutical company with offices in 25 countries across the globe. On a regular basis employees from my company contact me and ask me for guidance on a number of legal issues that may be impacting their personal lives outside of our offices. Whether their issue relates to estate planning, personal injury, domestic relations or a criminal allegation, I routinely, and without hesitation, recommend that they call Rob for representation. I have known and worked with Rob for almost seven years and he is an outstanding person that provides impeccable legal counseling. Rob is a tough attorney who will protect your legal interest to the fullest extent. I strongly endorse his practice and look forward to working with him more in the future"
"I endorse this lawyer. I worked with Rob on some criminal matters when he was a prosecutor. Very stand up guy, when he told you he would do something, it would get done."
"I had the distinct pleasure to spend a year as the public defender assigned to the same courtroom as Rob was when he was a felony prosecutor. I found him to be a hard working, honest and honorable opponent. We both gained a lifetime of experience and learned a lot from each other. I have also seen Mr. Herking in action since his days in the prosecutor's office and have been pleased to see that his prosecutor's skills serve him very well in providing a rigorous defense for his clients. I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Herking to represent me should I ever have the need of a criminal defense attorney."
"I went to law school with Robert and am happy to give my endorsement to him. He's bright, talented, conscientious, hard-working and honest. In short, he is everything you want an attorney to be."
