As I don’t wish to reveal my information as anyone could understand an OVI scenario to be extremely embarrassing, I did post anonymously to provide this review. Not only embarrassing was this unfortunate situation but the sheer stress that came with it was terrible and quite frankly exhausting. Th...at being said, I consider myself fortunate to not only receive the full dismissal of my OVI case but more importantly to have partnered with Linda Malek and her firm. Trust me when I say that I had researched, contacted and had spoken with multiple attorneys prior to making my decision to move forward with this partnership. Although I was apprehensive about the financial burden that came with hiring an attorney, I can honestly say that she was the only smart decision I made during this entire process, clearly. If you’re reading this review because you’re unfortunately in the same situation I once was, then you may also be thinking to yourself, “gosh, that’s a lot of money, should I go with another more affordable option?” and my answer would be simple if you’re able. It goes back to the old saying that you truly get what you pay for, and in my opinion this is not one of those times to select the “off brand”. Linda Malek specializes in OVI’s, which was one of the main reasons I chose to partner with her. However, what truly set her apart from every other attorney and what solidified my connection is with which I would like to close my review. She said, “I treat every case like it’s my very first” which spoke wonders. I pictured myself graduating law school, passing the bar exam and taking on my very first case well knowing that I’d need to put in the extra time necessary to do the very best job possible. It meant to me that she cared about my personal situation and wanted to provide me the help that I desperately needed in one of the lowest times of my life.

If you are in search of a defense attorney, hire Linda Malek. 5 billion stars are not enough to accurately represent how wonderful she is from every focal point the in the entire horrifying legal process. My son was indicted on 17 counts: 14 felonies and 3 misdemeanors. Included in the counts... was an F2, F3s, F4s, 5 firearm charges each carrying a mandatory 3 year sentence to be served consecutively, sexual battery and sexual imposition, which required being on the registry for 20 years, and the misdemeanors. He was facing 58 years in prison. I had hired another attorney initially, and as the days passed, I had the worst feeling that I had made a terrible mistake. This attorney wasn't doing anything. My son felt that way, too, and so did his older brother. That's how I found Linda. My older son told me "You better dump ____ and hire Linda. She's a shark and she will get things done. My brother's screwed if you don't." So I called her that night near midnight and she called me right back. That impressed me. After speaking with her that first time, I knew I had to hire her. If I had to sell my soul, I was going to hire her. From the first conversation, Linda took control. I knew we would get the absolutely best outcome possible by hiring her. I would never have to say to myself "oh my god, why didn't I fire ___ and hire LInda?" I could relax in that area. She took the immense burden from me and put it on herself. I'll never forget the day I visited my son in jail and told him "Your new lawyer is coming to visit you tomorrow". He looked at me in surprise with hope in his face and said "My new lawyer?" I said "Yes, and I can't wait to hear what you think". He was SO HAPPY after he met with Linda the next day. He said he felt confident and had hope now and that his life wasn't over. He worships her and so do I. Linda is a shark, a barracuda. She's aggressive in all the right ways. That's what we needed. She told me once, "I'm like a dog with a bone with a case. I grab it and I won't let go." And she doesn't. Her staff is as incredibly supportive as she is. Karen and Joe were always there when I needed them. I have no idea how many hours behind the scenes Linda spent on case law, filing motions, and preparing my son's case. It had to be an immense amount. Linda is brilliant, strong, highly detailed oriented, forceful, honest, efficient, realistic, and her people skills are incredible. She spent many hours talking with me about the steps of the case, what was happening now and what would happen next, and reassuring me. I asked her to always tell me the truth, and she always did. She never sugarcoated anything. So when she told me positive, hopeful things, I could believe her. My son and I trust her completely. If she said something, it was true. Period. My son's case turned out the very best it could have turned out. He ended up pleading to two F3s. My son went from 17 charges to 2 charges. His sentence was fair. He received 18 months and is out now on judicial. Linda took charge of the judicial release process and guided my son through it, explaining each step, when he should file, and what he needed to accomplish in prison to be granted release. Also, my son had an arrest warrant from a DUI in Traffic that made no sense. LInda got that recalled in 10 minutes, so that worry is gone. LInda calls to see how my son and I are doing. Linda went to the trouble of finding and giving us the name of a church that has programs for felons, without us asking! Linda did not have to do that. The fact that she did tells us all how caring she is. Linda, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are so very grateful to you. Neither one of us would have survived without you. Words cannot begin to express the gratitude that I have for Linda Malek. I was facing my first DUI offense with an open container violation. She makes sure that you understand what is happening and all the possible outcomes. She is very honest and tells you things that are hard to hear, but she is genuine and caring. Ultimately, I am a better person after going through this experience and working through it with Linda’s support. I hired Linda Malek for a legal problem involving a felony 2 for a family member. Facing a very serious criminal charge, Linda accomplished outstanding results.
