In the beginning I was skeptical on hiring a lawyer. Heard a lot of good things from random people about Justin Smith and his team. So I called Justin Smith. Talked to him for a little while . Me being stubborn. I still put it off for another year. Finally, I decided to meet with Justin and his ...team. I've never filed a claim with the VA despite being a combat Marine. Justin helped me gather all the medical records I needed to file my claims then also help prepare me for the C&P exams. Justin and his team's expertise in VA claim matters were very evident. I had no idea how to make a claim with the VA. Let it alone The verbiage or wording that the VA would need to accept my claims. Justin and his team also knew the secondary claims that needed to be filed that coincide with your primary claims. This is something that most that were in the military wouldn't know. Justin, help me set up my medical appointments and I made sure I attended everyone. His recommendations were top notch. To my surprise I was awarded 100% P&T. This is the rating that everyone that applies for a claim is seeking. I know without a doubt that if I would not have contacted and went with Justin and his team that applying for VA benefits myself. Would have been a disaster and would be like most of my marine friends that I served with that have been close to a decade and only have 40 to 60% to show for there service.I commend all there hard work that they put in my case and I left them alone and let them do their thing. Justin does amazing work! After fifteen years of going nowhere with the local VA, I contacted him after hearing of some of his results. If I would have called Justin from the beginning and it would have saved me a lot of time. Being a Marine himself, he knows exactly what you went through. He speaks ...both military and VA lingo and does a great job of translating both languages. Like most combat veterans struggling with the idea of contacting an attorney to help, knowing that other people have it far worse than I do, he made me feel at ease with the decision. For anyone local, I was part of the 3/25 unit that was hit hard back in ’05. I finally contacted Justin in December 2023 and within a year I went from 0% to 100% without having to go to a single VA appointment. I know this is an extremely rare occurrence but what I want to point out is how meticulous and detailed he and his team are while looking through everything. From the first appointment, the communication was efficient, effective and clear. It doesn’t take long for you to see that he takes a lot of pride in what he does. Justin and his team of doctors are extremely thorough and professional. I felt very comfortable talking about my personal events/history while working with him and his staff. I have since recommended everyone I know! The cost and the time are both well worth it!
