Great man and Best choice for an Excellent Attorney

If you’re looking for the best lawyer and a well educated man at what he does best ,then look no further! Going into this mess I had absolutely no idea what I was doing because I’ve never had to have an attorney before. After meeting Mr Ritter he assured me that everything would be fine. I don’t know... about other lawyers but Mr. Ritters knowledge of the laws and knowing them without any book or papers to quote from I thought was very impressive. He is also a very considerate and empathetic person. My charge was DUI,failure to consent and speeding... which in my personal opinion from go was bull.. long story short it was dropped to wreckless driving and pay my court cost... Needless to say I wanted to hug his neck and drop to my knees because I was extremely thankful for hiring him. The charges could have been so much worse and believe me when I left that court house I burst into tears of relief..! Mr. Ritter is very diligent in his job. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Mr. Ritter again because in my opinion he is top notch!

Worth every penny

If you need legal defense, I can't recommend anyone else. I had an order of protection filed against me. Michael Ritter was able to show where it wasn't needed. Now I can move forward with my life complete with all of my rights.

Excellent Attorney

Mr. Ritter eased my mind of worrying the first day of consultation. I had a couple of charges filed against me by the state that he knew mistakes were made by the arresting officer. Charges were dropped and i'm thankful i came to Mr Ritter and used him for an attorney. A+++++++

Faith in God and a good Lawyer

I came to Mr. Ritter with a charge that I felt was impossible to beat. After literally 10 minutes with Mr. Ritter I felt like I could see a glimpse of HOPE after some very troublesome issues. I felt like for once, someone believed in me, and saw good in me. Mr. Ritter does not just treat you like a c...ase number/client... he treats you like a person. You actually feel relieved when you leave his office or the court room with him by your side. Mr. Ritter is not like most if ANY other attorneys I know.. he reaches out to his clients, he fights for you, he goes above and beyond and spends hours of time looking for ways to help each client he represents. I admire Mr. Ritter not only for his incredible work in and out of the court room as well as the community, but who he is as a person. He is one of the most respectable, supportive, men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am not sure if he will ever know the gratitude I feel for him for ALL that he has done for me and on my behalf. I am forever greatful for Mr. Ritter, as well as Mrs. Ritter. I would reccomended Mr. Ritter to anyone needing assistance / advice dealing with a criminal matter. I can first hand say that you will NEVER be disapointed in his work or in your decision in hiring Mr. Ritter. It will change your life!!!

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2011.

Temporary Suspension issued in TN, 2011

updated on 03/28/2017

Temporary suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice during a disciplinary investigation. The suspension typically expires when the investigation is resolved.

Michael’s comment:

“This was a temporary suspension! A complaint,( that was ultimately DISMISSED) was not answered within the time allotted by the Board of Professional Responsibility. My Mother was in critical condition in Phoenix, Arizona, when the response was due. Upon my return, I contacted the Board, a hearing was held and my license was immediately restored to active.”

Censured issued in TN, 2004

updated on 09/21/2013

When an attorney is censured it means he or she did something wrong but may still practice law. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
