Best lawyer in East TN ...

Words cant express what Mike Ritter and his staff did for me, and my family. Upon a hard time in my life I hired Mike based on his reputation for being a highly skilled DUI lawyer . Not only did he beat my case he also got my license back for me and had several other charges dismissed and expunged. A... year I had another mishap and Mike was sitting at the jail before business hours to help get me out . The caring support and positive attitude he and his staff showed me was something no one else had given me during that time period , and it thrived me into wanting to make my life better. The day I hired Mike Ritter , not only did I accept the best legal counsel I could ever imagine, I received a support system in a much needed time . This firm truly cares about clients and they go over and beyond to make it a non judgemental zone and the best experience possible. I highly recommend them .

EXPERT REPRESENTATION

Last year, We needed a lawyer to defend a DUI and child endangerment charge. Our position was that she was charged needlessly. But the state accepted the charge and we had to go to court. I have experience with legal matters and knew that this case would need an experienced, capable and savy attorn...ey for us to prevail. Therefore, we hired Mr. Ritter. He had a proven history of winning cases and expert representation of his clients. Over the course of the last year, Mr. Ritter used his vast expertise to build a defense against these charges and the results could not have been better. Because of his dogged determination, experience in court room procedure and his desire to put right the matter for his client, all charges were dismissed and the record expunged. If you need a absolute top drawer attorney, look no further than Micheal Ritter. He is simply the best; A lawyers lawyer and the kindest and most honest per you could have representing you. BAR NONE.

Excellent attorney

I was charged with possession of marijuana and public intoxication. Mr. Ritter was highly recommend to me by a close friend. I met with Mr. Ritter and discussed my case with him. I hired Mr. Ritter to reprsent me and he did so doing a great job. The charges were dismissed and my record expunged. Mr....Ritter handled my case professionally and efficently. I could not have ask for a better outcome in this case. His fee for representing me was very reasonable. Mr. Ritter is a true professional with a vast knowledge of the law and very aggressive in the courtroom. I would highly recommend him to anyone with a legal problem.

Ritter & Edwards

My wife & I were stopped at a THP roadblock in Rockwood, Tn. on Aug.5th,2016. We were both arrested. I was charged with DUI, & my wife with DUI by consent. We were NOT drinking or under the influence. We were bullied & treated like criminals from the first moment. We retained Ritter & Edwards. Oh, wh...at a good decision that was. Our vehicle was seized, they got it back for us. We went to court & thank goodness for their vast knowledge of the laws. Mike counted off on his fingers all the mistakes the THP had made in our arrest, then told us none of it mattered because, first & foremost, our 4th amendment right was violated by an illegal stop. Therefore anything that happened afterward didn't matter. Our case was dismissed & the arrest expunged from our record. So, thank you Mike & Jonathon for your aggressive defense. If anyone reading this is ever in need of a DUI attorney, contact Ritter & Edwards for your defense. They know their business. Robert & Sharon

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2011.

Temporary Suspension issued in TN, 2011

updated on 03/28/2017

Temporary suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice during a disciplinary investigation. The suspension typically expires when the investigation is resolved.

Michael’s comment:

“This was a temporary suspension! A complaint,( that was ultimately DISMISSED) was not answered within the time allotted by the Board of Professional Responsibility. My Mother was in critical condition in Phoenix, Arizona, when the response was due. Upon my return, I contacted the Board, a hearing was held and my license was immediately restored to active.”

Censured issued in TN, 2004

updated on 09/21/2013

When an attorney is censured it means he or she did something wrong but may still practice law. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
