Criminal Defense

Michael Ritter is the best attorney hands down in the east tn area! He works hard for his clients and he actually cares. He has helped my family out and a few friends. I recommend him to anyone that is needing a lawyer for criminal defense.

Absolutely the Best!!

Mike Ritter and his team are the absolute best! I highly recommend Mike Ritter. I hired Mike Ritter to handle my son's DUI case; Mr. Ritter is extremely professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He explained the process and answered all my questions... he truly cares about his clients! The conversa...tion he had with my son after he helped get the DUI dismissed was very sincere, not many lawyers care about you or your child. Mike Ritter and his staff care! Highly recommend this lawyer!

Highly recommended!!! Such a high caliber lawyer and sincerely cares about his clients!!! I have used Michael multiple times and established a true bond and friendship with him. He works long hours and many hours after hours on your behalf. He goes the extra mile always putting you and your needs an...d case first! Michael takes a vested interest in your overall well-being if he takes your case. Always responds promptly with answers to questions you may have. I have been in the court room with him on several occasions over the years, and I feel he’s over achieved and out worked any other attorney I’ve came across A+

Fantastic Legal Services

Michael is professional, and he cares! Through his initial consultation I was able to locate my car which had been in impound and I was provided no information via the police. I located and recovered my car. Currently we are in the process of pursuing other legal matters and I promise, you will no...t go wrong with Michael! He is a consummate professional. He cares! I highly recommend his services. You will be glad you went with Michael!

Michael was amazing

I got in trouble for possession of paraphernalia and Michael took my case and handled everything down to the smallest detail. This helped me a lot because it was difficult for me to take time off work to attend court, but he made it much less stressful for me by taking care of all that.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2011.

Temporary Suspension issued in TN, 2011

updated on 03/28/2017

Temporary suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice during a disciplinary investigation. The suspension typically expires when the investigation is resolved.

Michael’s comment:

“This was a temporary suspension! A complaint,( that was ultimately DISMISSED) was not answered within the time allotted by the Board of Professional Responsibility. My Mother was in critical condition in Phoenix, Arizona, when the response was due. Upon my return, I contacted the Board, a hearing was held and my license was immediately restored to active.”

Censured issued in TN, 2004

updated on 09/21/2013

When an attorney is censured it means he or she did something wrong but may still practice law. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
