A trial is never a sure thing. But Mr. Vaughan, this very civilized man who stayed calm when I wanted to choke people out for their lies, brought back a "Not Guilty" verdict on both charges. He did it all with a laptop, a black defendant and nearly all white jury, in Sullivan County, Tennessee. One of the very best days of my life, it still fills me with complete and utter joy. I had never been through a divorce, not to mention, alone, emotionally scarred and mad all at the same time. Kyle listened, listened, and listened some more.
