Excellent Attorney

Mathew did an outstanding job representing me in my divorce. Thanks to him and his paralegal Rachel I was able to relax and try to live my life during this process. They were always quick to respond to any questions or concerns, were very knowledgeable of the law surrounding my situation, and just ...easy to work with. I am very grateful this is behind me and very thankful I chose to have Mathew represent me.

Trusted him with my life and would do it again

Several years ago when Matthew was fresh out of law school, he worked on a very large case for me that was highly scrutinized in the public eye. He worked alongside his father who was seemingly the most sought after criminal defense attorney in the area with an incredibly successful reputation. All i...n, I was looking at nearly 30 years. Matthew worked tirelessly and stayed informed on all aspects of my case throughout the multi-year duration of trial preparation. Because of his efforts, I walked away with the best possible outcome. He wasn't just there because it's his job and I know for a fact that he truly cared about helping me. Almost a decade later, I went to Matthew with another case. It was an uncommon request as I was seeking to wipe clean my past by fully restoring my civil rights. I had done my own extensive research prior and knew that it is very uncommon and most individuals do not pursue this. Matthew willingly took my case and after some time and preparation, we won. I have the unique perspective of having been a client of Matthew many years ago and now recently. I'm proud to say that the same attorney who helped me in an impossible situation so many years ago has only gotten sharper and more successful at his craft. If you're reading this and on the fence about an attorney, I am absolutely confident in saying that you could not find someone who will be more interested in finding the best possible outcome than Matthew Spivey and his team(his paralegals are incredible to work with also.) The title says that I trusted him with my life and I would do it again and there's no better way I can put it.

Success!

I was very pleased with Matthew Spivey (Attorney) and Rachel Miller (Paralegal). They helped me resolve an issue with my ex-wife. They were knowledgeable, easy to work with, and responsive. I'm very thankful this issue is behind us and would highly recommend Mr. Spivey!

Excellent Divorce Attorney

Matthew was professional and extremely respectful while handling my divorce. He and his team were always looking out for my best interests during a very challenging time in my life. I have tremendous appreciation for their knowledge of the law and the promptness in which they addressed any questions ...or concerns I may have had. I would highly recommend Matthew Spivey and his team of professionals.

Excellent Trial Attorney

Matthew was my Lead Attorney at trial. He is an excellent Attorney, very skilled in the court room. I was fully acquitted of the most serious charge, back in (Sept. 2019). Need I say more? My case was a self defense type case.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
