I have dedicated my adult life to serving others in a variety of arenas. Today I am an experienced litigator and advocate for my client’s rights in their legal needs. I focus on matters of business, criminal, and family law.
I am one of the few attorneys in Knoxville certified in the collaborative divorce process. With this process, I am able to help clients equitably settle all aspects related to divorce without the time and expense of litigation. I am an active and founding member of East Tennessee Collaborative Alliance along with being a Tennessee Rule 31 mediator.
I attended Lincoln Memorial Duncan School of Law and graduated in May 2013 as part of the inaugural class. Upon graduation I was awarded the President Abraham Lincoln Pro Bono Award. While earning myJuris Doctorate at Lincoln Memorial, I was president of the Mock Trial Team and served as student representative on the Academic Integrity Committee. I was also a student representative for the law school on the TBA Access to Justice Committee. I was honored to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable Bill Swann in one of the busiest circuit courts in the state while attending law school, as well as interning with Legal Aid of East Tennessee at the Family Justice Center.
I currently live in Knoxville with my wife, Kristi, and our two sons, Gavin and Grayson. I enjoy attending UT football and basketball games with my family and spending time outside with my sons on my parent's farm. I am a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations, the National and Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, East Tennessee Collaborative Alliance, and the International Association of Collaborative Professionals.
