He cleaned up the mess

I got into a mess with a neighbor, almost as many charges as days in a month. Brian explained up front what he thought the entire process would be, showed up in another court twice for hearings that were an extension of this case ( and won) and in between dealt with and set up appropriately with nece...ssary parties, showed up for assigned court dates on time, and in the end negotiated a settlement that resulted in the charges being dismissed and the records expunged. Brian even handled paperwork for one expungement in the matter that was early on and he was not even retained at the time of this initial court case. He just cleaned up the mess. I will call Brian again if needed and recommend others to do the same.

can finally breathe again....

I was arrested for two crimes I didn't commit so we needed a good lawyer. Trusted friends told us about Brian. After an interview we decided they were right about him. We had to go back to court five times due to the state not getting it together, but finally after six months Brian got the case... dismissed. He was there every time we were in court and kept us informed on all the details. He is very professional and on top of things. You can call him anytime with your questions. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an honest and hard working lawyer. Thank you Brian for all of your help,

Ill-prepared

Brian did not properly prepare for trial, was late to court, asked few questions, and prepared a defense that was not allowed by the court in which he was representing. He made no fee concessions for poor performance and did no follow-up following the trial.

Replied last July 25, 2011

I did not represent Greg at trial, he retained me to represent him at a revocation hearing after already being found guilty of an underlying offense. The grounds for his revocation were several potential new charges, similar in character to his original offense. Although Greg was revoked, through negotiations with the prosecution, he was not charged with any new offenses. Because of this, we were able to prevent many potential years in custody. Although I wish the outcome to every case could be exactly as a client desires, such expectations are not always justified. Attorneys must prepare the best possible defense for a set of facts, but attorneys cannot change the facts.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
