James Nicholas Harris

I strive to help honest people with whatever they need and hopefully make a few friends along the way. I have always done so with honesty and fair treatment of my clients and adversaries. By doing this, I have built a solid reputation for integrity and professionalism within the legal community. This respect is passed along to my clients, each of whom receives personalized, attentive service and counsel tailored to their individual needs.  We handle all types of legal issues including, real estate closings, sports management, contract writing and negotiations, contract litigation, wills, and personal injury.

In early 2008, after 4 years of working for the big personal injury firms in Nashville, I decided it was time for a change. My wife was pregnant with our second child and I felt like I was not getting to spend enough time with my growing family. With the experience I gained from working with and against great lawyers in Nashville, I opened my own office in the Trial Lawyers building in downtown Franklin. Since that time, the Lord has done nothing but bless me and my family. I get to spend more time with my family and meanwhile my business has grown. I have helped people close on their home loans, write wills, gain visitation and custody of their children, helped people in trouble and helped people who have been injured by the negligence of others. I recently have expanded my practice into Sports Management and became a partner with Alpha Sports + Entertainment. With my background in writing and negotiating contracts, it has been a fun way to merge two things I love, sports and helping people. Since graduating law school in 2005, I have tried cases in courthouses all over Middle Tennessee. In 2007, I argued a case in front of the Workers' Compensation Panel of the Tennessee Supreme Court. That same case went on to be argued in front of the full Tennessee Supreme Court and the experience I gained was priceless. I have enjoyed my career so far and I have enjoyed meeting and helping lots of wonderful people. I can't wait to continue doing the things I love.
