Biography
I am a personal injury and accident trial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to helping injured people and their families stand up to powerful corporations and insurance companies, recovering millions of dollars while making our community safer.
My commitment to this work is deeply personal. Growing up in a mobile home park around hardworking families shaped who I am today. During my first year of law school, my father passed away after years of being unable to work due to a heart attack. I saw firsthand how illness and lost income threaten a family’s survival. That experience cemented my determination to represent people whose financial stability and health have been compromised by the negligence of others.
Prior to my legal career, I served as a field artillery sergeant in the Alabama National Guard, which instilled in me the preparation, discipline, and leadership that I bring to every case. I approach the law with a "David and Goliath" mindset: my clients often enter the process with fewer resources than the corporations they face, and it is my job to level that playing field through thorough, early trial preparation and a dedicated team of experts.
I brought that same drive to my education at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, where I served on the law review, earned 11 academic awards, and graduated with honors. I also scored in the top percentile in the nation on the Multi-State Bar Exam. To share my legal knowledge with the community and the next generation, I now serve as an adjunct instructor of business law at Troy University’s Sorrell College of Business and host the “In the Trials” podcast, where we discuss legal topics and what to expect in a personal injury case.
My results in significant personal injury, workplace accident, wrongful death, and defective product claims have earned me recognition in several national organizations. I am a proud member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Civil Plaintiff, and the Trucking Trial Lawyers: Top 10.
