The car wreck case had been referred to the Hogg & Gartlan Law Firm by another attorney after that attorney attempted to negotiate a settlement without filing a lawsuit. The statute of limitations was fast approaching. Therefore, the Hogg & Gartlan Law Firm filed the lawsuit which alleged negligent and wanton conduct on the part of the other driver and continued trial preparation, which consisted of interrogatories and requests for production of documents, as well as gathering the important documents and records necessary to help prove the damages in the case and investigating the witnesses.
