My private practice has always been devoted to DUI/Traffic defense, and Criminal Defense, .  I have successfully tried hundreds of these case before juries and judges. Prior to becoming an attorney I was a police officer for 7 years.

Let me start off by saying how truly thankful I am, not only to Mr. Ransom, but his whole firm. August 2017 after being jailed and ticketed for a DUI, Mr. Ransom contacted me. YES, I didn't even have to contact him. After seeing and meeting with multiple lawyers whom I didn't get such a good vibe from. I googled around, put in my information, and that very day he called me.. personally, on his way home from work. He not only won my DUI case, but I wasn't even there. I was stuck at work, and he handled everything. I am beyond blessed and truly thankful. I can continue my career, in the medical field and not worry. He fought for me to the last second, and even offered to help me clear the jail record, when he had already done enough. If you're looking for someone who will in fact go the extra mile, then you're looking at the right man.

Wonderful Attorney
James was recommended to me by a family member and he did an amazing job in the handling of my custody case. I live out of state and we did everything by phone. If he needed documents I would email them to him. James always answered my email's immediately and when I did call his office, the ladies I spoke with were knowledgeable, helpful, & respectful. If James needed to speak to me he would email me and ask me to call him. I loved that he did this because it showed the importance of caring for my time. Lastly, since I live out of state I was able to give him a limited power of attorney to represent me in court without me being present. I was glad that he allowed me to do because if I had to actually be present it would have been a burden on my day to day finances.

Attorney for DUU
My husband got a DUI in AL and we live in GA. He had never had anything like this. I was so scared as was he. I have life threatening health issues and limited funds. Jim allowed a payment plan and was able to get everything in court taken care of

Our lawyer did an awesome job. He showed up and handled our case and got our case settled with only 2 court dates in what we thought would take a year or longer to settle! He also had really good prices that we were actually able to afford. I would recommend Jim for any of your criminal cases because he knew what he was doing when we walked in his office from day one. He stayed in touch and kept us informed on our case so we knew all of our options the entire process. Excellent criminal defense attorney! Our case was dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor which was great on our behalf.

Fantastic Lawyer
He was amazing. I received a not guilty verdict because of my lawyer. He followed up with the ADA. He made her prove that I was under the influence & she couldn't do it. The judge actually said, "you have a good lawyer".

Incredibly helpful, caring and intelligent! Could never have imagined how smooth and easy he made the process.
Jim was able to represent me in Alabama while I was in Nashville. He explained everything to me thoroughly and made sure I felt comfortable and confident through out the process. Criminal case
I strongly and highly recommend attorney Jim Ransom. He was great got a harrassment charge dismissed with only paying court cost. He also kept me informed throughout the whole case and stood by me answering any and all questions professionally .I would use him again and again if I needed. Happy With My Outcome!
Mr. Ransom was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the issues of my case. He explained all possibilities to me, and helped guide me through this process. In the end because of his expertise, my charges were dropped and I only had to pay court cost. Needless to say I was very pleased with Mr. Ransom and his services! I would highly recommend James Ransom for any criminal charge!!

Jim Ransom lawyer crooked takes your money
I am on SSI and hired this Jim ransom on a criminal case that he knew I wanted to take it to a jury trial, but he wanted me to plea Guilty for something I did not do or he'll quit as my lawyer after I paid him over 2,500 dollars and never showed up for court, but 3 times to just put it off for 3 years now and now I am once again looking for another lawyer to help me ..Don't hired this lawyer he gets paid off by the DA to get his client to take a plea an quit on them he is a Crooked and he will take your money and Not do his job at all I will be reporting him to the bar on this soon enough wrong is wrong.

Lost case don’t put your trust in him
I hired him to try a misdemeanor case and, before he lost it, he says it’s be a win if they convict me on only some of the charges. Different story when he was agreeing to take my case. Don’t hire him unless you want to serve time.

Keep away
When you pay him any money you stop hearing from him and you have to ask when you can meet him to do paperwork even when he says tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and it is once again put off until tomorrow. I asked for a refund and then they start some kind of paperwork so they can charge me for it. I still want my full refund since they have done nothing but put me off every time I was told tomorrow.

Run!
If I could give zero stars I would. He did nothing he said he could or would do. His office didn't return calls when I had questions. He kept pushing my case back and I ended up getting the same deal I was offered initially. I could have represented myself and saved time and a lot of money.
