Negligent and deceptive

Don't believe a word this woman says. I (like others) had my initial consultation with Kristal Knox while she was with Ayo and Iken. Impressed with the firm I was determined to raise enough to retain them. Krystal then showed up at a status conference for my case and coaxed me into retaining her a...t her newly established firm. It has been nothing but a nightmare since. Insufficient pleadings, failing to file motions, cancelled hearings, service of documents to the wrong attorney. You name it, she's screwed it up. As far as I can see Kristal's stellar track record ended when she left Ayo and Iken. You should call them if you want the sort of representation that Kristal is promising. She does not return calls, will not fight for you to see your children when your spouse is refusing to let you have any contact with them and has a half-witted incompetent paralegal (Teresa). They still haven't found the time to file the motion I need to proceed but they were quick to file a motion to withdraw when I pointed out their negligence. They even refuse to provide me an invoice. Wish I could say Allison was an innocent bystander but she's been fully aware of the problems for weeks now and has yet to return an email.

Deceptive

I hired Kristal Knox for my case based on her reviews. I gave the down payment. I recently received a letter that she left the firm I had chosen to represent me and started her own firm" Knox and Belcher." I had done an enormous amount of research before retaining the previous firm. I asked how thi...s works and what happens next. I was told it would be best and to my benefit if I wait 100 days because of Florida Bar Rules when an attorney changes employers. I asked what would happen to the money I have given and she stated. "If I wait the 100 days it will transfer over" that is all well and good but my case needs attention and I feel she has found a way to manipulate things for her benefit. Also if I chose to follow her I may lose part of the money I've already given. I had thought my case was moving along only to find out it was in limbo. Currently I am consulting with an outside attorney who specializes in Ethics for the Florida Bar who could advise.

I am happy to hear you hired me at my old firm based upon my reviews. I work very hard for my clients and truly care about them and their cases. It is not uncommon for attorneys to leave a particular law firm to either work for another firm, or open their own practice. As an attorney who has worked primarily in the field of family law for close to 11 years, I felt it was time to open my own practice. There are strict rules that one must adhere to when leaving a law firm. The letter mentioned was sent to all of my clients. That letter is meant to give all clients the choice and the ability to continue to be represented by the attorney of their choice. I have taken steps to ensure that my clients have a smooth transition and that their cases remain unaffected by my change of firms. I have no control over my previous firm and whether they choose to keep the money paid to them via the non-refundable retainer agreement or to provide it to you to so you may remain with the attorney of your choice. What I can control is what I charge the clients who choose to come with me to my new firm. If we indeed spoke about your case after my departure from my old firm, you would have been provided with the option that all clients were provided regarding credits received for money kept by my old firm. I have had many clients take advantage of this offer. I have not asked any clients to delay in retaining me for any purpose, let alone delay in retaining me for 100 days. A delay in retaining me would have no effect on whether the old firm provides the remaining portion of the non-refundable retainer to the client. Who you choose to represent you is a very important decision. Please contact me to discuss your case. Unfortunately, this review was placed anonymously, so I cannot contact you. I look forward to speaking with you.

Don't look any further, Kristal is the best.

We hired Kristal for a very difficult custody battle. She not only got us the results we wanted, but worked diligently along the way by keeping us updated, answering to EVERY email, every concern, every question, and has always been extremely professional. She was also very honest from the beginning ...- which is extremely valuable. Do not waste time looking for another firm/attorney. Kristal will satisfy all your needs, 100% guaranteed!

A Blessing!

I hired Kristal Knox to represent me in my Divorce w/ Child Custody after being with another attorney for for 6mths that just totally disappeared on me. The mother of my kids had filed 6+ consecutive false allegations on me to children and families & HCSO, when one investigation was closed she would ...file, or have someone else file another to get the upper hand in the custody case. This hurt me so badly to be accused of hurting my kids, as well as having my kids questioned abut these type of allegations, and was extremely hard on me and my kids. My parenting time when i came to Mrs. Knox was 8hrs on Saturdays, and 6hrs on Sundays. In roughly 3 months Mrs. Knox changed me, and my kids life by getting the 50/50 time-sharing and Joint Custody that i wanted. I don't know how to thank her, but i can tell you that in my eye she is a gift from GOD! I strongly recommend her to anyone, I owe her my life!!! It is not easy when someone you use to love try's to destroy you by any means necessary, and even worse stomps on your heart by lying about your relationship with your kids. Krystal saw who i really was, and not they lies and saved my life! by restoring my children to me. Thank you Mrs. Knox, you are the BEST!

Experienced, Professional, Extremely Helpful, Always available!!

Life is tough and can hit you hard at times, but if you have Kristal Knox on your side, i gurantee you it only gets better from there. I hired Kristal and the very first meeting we had, she listened to the whole situation and asked a lot of questions. She scribbled a lot of notes, explained what we c...an do, and asked us what our expectations are. From then onwards, things kept falling in place. She is always available, and i can say that for a fact as she replied to one of my emails at around 9pm at night. This was when our case was over but i found out i still need the other party, i sent an email and she replied, "Yes i can help.." late in the evening. She did not even charge me for that last unexpected roadblock just because she wanted to help me out. Her fee is reasonable but you get what you pay for which is, quality representation, vast legal experience, detailed discussion with you and what you want, availability, and fast responses. She respects her clients and takes interest in your case. She wants to learn about your situation and i guess thats what gives her all that experience as each case is unique and she understands family and legal dynamics. She is always wiling to work with you, and always have your interest in mind. She was with me all the way to the end including mediation, in the courtroom, and was willing to meet me at any of their offices in Tampa Bay Area. Her paralegal Karen was always available as well and they both make a good team. I am extremely satisfied with her service, will definitely recommend her, and will always consult her for any legal issues in the future. Thanks Kristal!!
