I decided I wanted to be an attorney when I was 10 years old. I read a book about two Italian immigrants put to death in the early 1920's for a crime they didn't commit and my 10 year old brain said "I want to make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else." Unfortunately, as I grew older, I discovered that it happens far too often. The discovery did not put a damper on my love for the law nor my determination to represent those who need help...sometimes the innocent and, yes, sometimes the guilty.
When I expanded my practice to include family law, that calling to help those in need grew stronger. I wanted to help the most innocent of all...the children. So, in my family practice, my priority is focused on the children of these broken families while I try to reconcile the law to the situation at hand and help the divorcing parent maintain dignity through such a difficult time. I like to believe that I can help divorcing parents realize that, as much as they are hurting, the children hurt more and carry those scars longer.
This is just a short synopsis of my philosophy on practicing. I still maintain that love of the law that I held as an innocent 10 year old even if reality is quite different.

It was a long road, but without her the jail time would have been way longer. Felony court is not a place you want to go to unprepared, especially if the state feels they have a strong enough case. Roxanne really does her homework and she will learn the case backwards and forwards. She is a very down...
