Family conflict is the most difficult situations that most of us can face. Whether it is conflict with your current spouse, your former spouse, your siblings and parents or your adult children, the disagreements can lead to stress that invades all aspects of your life. These conflicts, when turned over to the legal system by contested divorce, post divorce litigation, probate or guardianship conflict all can result in costly escalation with limited positive outcomes. My practice focuses on assisting parties to reach positive outcomes to such disagreements through mediation or collaborative legal representation. These alternatives to normal litigation reduce the stress of conflict for everyone involved and are less expensive and take less time. I have been a practicing attorney for over twenty years and have learned that these alternative dispute resolution techniques are often the best solution and an opportunity for all parties to achieve a win-win, rather than a judge imposing a solution that meets no ones needs.

Sharon and Melissa were amazing to work with. Everything was explained in detail, everything was fast and proficient and made everything less stressful. Would highly recommend using Sharon O'Day!
"I endorse this lawyer. Sharon O'Day is a highly effective attorney and Mediator for whom I have known for over 20 years in the legal community and have the greatest respect. Sharon is intelligent, personable, and cares very deeply about her clients and her work ethics in preparing and handling her cases for her clients. I have consulted with Sharon on numerous cases, and referred potential clients to her in the past for mediation, and would not hesitate to refer more in the future. In giving Sharon an excellent rating, it's not high enough for her knowledge and experience. Sharon is up front with her opinion and being realistic in what you might expect. I cannot recommend Sharon highly enough, I have given her office permission to release my contact information if you'd like to verify this review, please refer to Allan F. Baily, Esquire"

"I endorse this lawyer. Sharon is a highly effective collaborative attorney and mediator for whom I have great respect. She is intelligent, personable, and cares very deeply about her clients and her work. She has been able to settle highly contentious cases where others have failed. I have worked together with her on many cases, and consulted with her on cases in the past, and would not hesitate to refer clients to her in the future."
"I highly recommend Sharon O’Day. Sharon truly cares about the clients and the families she represents. By providing her clients with different options to resolve their family law matters without the need to litigate she helps achieve her goal of helping families go through changes with minimal conflict and expense. In addition, Sharon has been a huge leader in expanding Collaborative Family Law in Manatee and Sarasota Counties and has been recognized by Next Generation Divorce for her success. Sharon is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family and Civil Mediator, is a Board Certified Family Lawyer, and has dedicated herself to help families move past their conflicts in a workable and amicable fashion."
"I strongly endorse Sharon. Highly respected in the legal community with an outstanding reputation for client advocacy and dedication."
"Sharon's extensive life and work experience makes her an ideal mediator in family matters where creative solutions are often needed. I endorse this lawyer."
"Sharon served as a mediator in a very difficult case in which my client was involved. We were fortunate to have Sharon as a mediator, as a settlement was obtained that I believe was in the best interests of all involved. Prior to mediation, I had my doubts as to whether the case would resolve and but for Sharon's services, I don't think it would have. It was a pleasure to deal with her and I would recommend her as a mediator in the future."
