David Joseph Fredericks

David “D.J.” Fredericks is an experienced litigator in multiple areas of law including real property, probate, contract disputes, landlord tenant, construction defects, homeowners and condominium association law, land use, and other general litigation areas.  Prior to joining Anderson & Givens, P.A., D.J. was an associate attorney at Lobeck & Hanson P.A. where he worked on multiple areas of law, including specifically collections and foreclosure actions.  In addition to his litigation experience, D.J. has a special interest in Probate and Estate Law and has worked with multiple families through probate administration, estate planning, guardianship procedures, as well as estate litigation.

D.J. graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2010 and has been practicing law in the Sarasota/Manatee areas ever since.  Before coming to Sarasota, D.J. graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Legal Studies and in Criminal Justice.  During his studies, D.J. published writings on the National Clearing House and participated in an internship in Washington D.C. where he was intimately involved in the investigation and preparation of cases at the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office.

While practicing, D.J. has participated in multiple volunteer programs, including the Stetson College of Law mentor program and the Sarasota County Teen Court program.  In addition, D.J. has annually participated in the Sarasota County Law Week, volunteering to attend a class at elementary schools to discuss the legal profession, civics, and general courtroom decorum.
