Outstanding VA attorney

"5/5 Stars – I can't thank Leslie Dean and her team enough! After struggling with the VA system, my anxiety just wouldnt let me continue, they took my case, handled everything with incredible expertise, and got me to 100% disability rating. Their knowledge of VA appeals and attention to detail made a...ll the difference. If you're a veteran fighting for the benefits you earned, I highly recommend the Law Office of Leslie Dean. Forever grateful – thank you for fighting for us!"

Freedom at a Price

After months in a Navy hospital, I was medically RETIRED from the Navy at the age of 20 in 1967. The VA picked up my medical needs and has been in my corner ever since. Last year I was refered to Leslie by a retired Navy friend who I trust. He suggested her because she is thorough and very skill...ed in military law and benefits. Leslie and her team worked with me to understand my potential benefits to prepare the information and applications required over a period of weeks. The results greatly exceeded my expectations and cost nothing out of pocket. Leslie Dean changed my life in a very positive way.

Compassionate and Communicative

Leslie is extremely caring and good at delivering results. She helps make a confusing process as simple as possible. Many friends I served with have also had great success using her services.

HORRIBLE

Deans practice and office are beyond horrible. I signed up for their waitlist back in April. Said it could be a while which I was ok with. I was receiving emails about my status on the waitlist; on June 18 “you’re number 52” and on July 16 “you are number 18 and you should be contacted in approximate...ly 2 weeks”. I was not contacted in two weeks. When I called to inquire they said unfortunately we had to terminate the list. How does a waitlist get terminated? You serve the next client in line. They would not tell me why. I told them I know this process takes a while but I had till December to get my paperwork in (getting appointments and the VA process takes forever as we all know). They said it wouldn’t be a problem and they would get me in before then. I paid the fee and signed the limited power of attorney. Once they received my VA file they scheduled me for a consult in January 2026. When I asked why it wasn’t before Dec like they had said, they replied with we didn’t say that. YES THEY DID. After this I contacted other firms to see how they operate and every firm I spoke with said that they are not allowed to charge me any fees other than the 20% of retro pay. Dean Law Firm charges a $2500 processing fee plus 20% of retro pay. I have no idea if that is true or not however 4 other firms said it’s not allowed. It is clear since they had me file my intent with the VA in April after I first contacted them, they pushed my case back as far as possible in order to receive maximum back pay from my case. They are only concerned with your money and not you as a veteran.

We hate to hear this from you. We have a long wait list, and at the onset we let prospective clients know this who want pre-filing consult work (which we can charge for/searching for new items that may present and digging through records and other elements which takes a great deal of time). We do not charge to file new claims and appeals/supplementals/20% contingency is standard. Any money you paid for PFC work that you didn't want to pursue because it wasn't to your time preference was refunded in full. Good luck to you.
