E.B. Newberry grew up outside of Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Shawnee State University for her undergraduate studies. At Shawnee State, E.B. studied International Relations with a concentration in Spanish. During her time at Shawnee State, E.B. completed an intense study abroad program, received multiple state-wide awards and served as student body president. After graduation E.B. devoted a year of service through Americorps and worked to implement a community service program in a small impoverished community. After Americorps, E.B. Newberry attended Valparaiso University School of Law, outside of Chicago, where she received her Juris Doctor. During her studies, E.B. was very involved in her class serving on dozens of committees and receiving various recognitions. E.B. also completed a comparative legal study program in Cambridge, England.
The day after law school graduation, E.B. packed up and moved to Florida to study for the bar. Shortly after her move, E.B. joined Brown, Suarez & Rios.
Prior to moving to Florida to practice, E.B. was senior law clerk for a prestigious Chicago-based civil plaintiff’s firm, worked as senior law clerk at the state attorney’s office, worked for a local judge and completed a clinic representing clients through the office of the public defender. E.B. also worked for a general practice firm specializing in mortgage forclosure defense cases, civil litigation and family law.
