Choosing an attorney to handle your case is a big decision that should not be made on a whim – your future health and finances can literally depend on the outcome of the case.  You need an attorney who understands this and respects the magnitude of your decision to select them for representation.  As your attorney, I am your advocate. I took an oath to champion my client’s interest even before my own, and I consider it an honor when I am chosen to fight on your behalf.  I do not have a large staff of paralegals that handle cases for me, I personally handle each and every case, and I try to make it a point to meet face-to-face early in the case.  I also give out my personal cell phone number, so if you want to talk directly to me, you can. I am honest and forthright with my clients, and am not one to “sugar coat” things.  I will cut to the chase and give you my honest, professional opinion as I lead you through your difficult time.

On my personal injury cases, I provide free initial consultations and use a contingency fee basis which means that if I do not obtain a recovery for you then there is no fee from me and no cost to you.

About Me

I was born and raised outside of a small town in northeast Indiana. I inherited a strong work ethic from my father who had his own construction business while I was a kid. I didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in my mouth and take pride that I am different from most lawyers.  I am the oldest of nine siblings and was the first one in my family to go to college.  I went to Butler University in Indianapolis. Originally I started out pre-med wanting to help people, but ended up graduating with a desire to pursue law and fight in the legal arena for individuals. During my studies I was fortunate to study at the Universidad de Alcala de Henares outside of Madrid, Spain and am fluent in both English and Spanish.  While I was at Butler I met my wife, Sara, and we have been blessed with two children since. 

After college, I attended law school at Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis and at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.  Honing trial advocacy skills at one of the most consistently high ranking advocacy programs was an honor and a privilege.  I started my law practice immediately after law school. 

Ever since I have had the privilege to represent everyday people against the powerful—their employers, the insurance industry, and the other members of “the defense” looking to minimize the damages they have suffered. Over the years I have handled cases against billion dollar corporations, governmental agencies, and even assisted in a lawsuit with a multi-national corporate giant on the other side.  I don’t shy away from a tough fight and am willing to go all in to fight for what is right - to fight for justice.
