Biography
I am originally from upstate New York and moved to Florida at age 18. I have lived in St Petersburg off and on since 1978. I have also lived in Jensen Beach when I worked on a boat as a deckhand, Miami where I attended law school and worked in a nightclub, Palm Beach Gardens and Tarpon Springs. I worked for the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Sevices (HRS) for three years processing Medicaid applications at Bayfront Medical Center before attending law school. This proved to be an invaluable experience in my legal career, as it gave me an insight into how governmental agencies such as Social Security and tyhe Veterans Administration process medical disability claims. As an attorney, I first worked for FEMA heloing people and businesses with disaster loans after Hurricane Andrew in Miami and the "Storm of the Century" in Crystal River. Thereafter, I secured a position as an associate with John G. Thompson and Associates in Tarpon Springs from 1994 to 1997, practicing Social Security disability, personal injury, and worker's compensation. Subsequently, I worked for John H. Thompson IV, P.A in St. Petersburg practicing in the same areas. In 2010 I opened my own office where I concentrate my practice on Social Security disability law and personal injury law. I recently received accredidation to practice before the Veterans Administration and look forward to building my practice in that area of the law as well. I represent clients from Crystal River to Sarasota and have satellite offices inTarpon Springs, Tampa and Sarasota.

Not a happy client
I was a client of this lawyer last year after an auto accident. He failed to follow through my case entirely so after we settled I sill had outstanding balances and received bills. Replied last April 03, 2016This client was a third party beneficiary of medical payments coverage (MPC) under her grandfather's automobile insurance contract, which supplemented her own personal injury protection (PIP). The third party carrier delayed in issuing payments to two medical providers who grossly overbilled, and the client became extremely unhappy when she received two bills post-settlement. Those two providers had already been paid significant monies. In fact, her chiropractor sought additional payment directly from the client despite having agreed to waive his remaining balance after payment by the third party carrier. I understand her unhappiness and accept the criticism as there was a breakdown in communication. Lastly, I would point out the client was extremely happy with her net settlement.
