About Juliana
Biography
Juliana L. Curtis was born in Flint, MI and has been practicing in the area of workers’ compensation for over thirteen years. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida in 1994, where she majored in Legal Studies.
After college, Ms. Curtis worked for two years as a consultant to workers' compensation insurance carriers seeking recovery from the Special Disability Trust Fund. Ms. Curtis then obtained her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in July 1998 and became licensed to practice law in Florida in October 1998. As a law student, Ms. Curtis won the Victor O. Wehle Award for Best Oral Advocate and served as a Guardian Ad Litem. She was also a member of the Moot Court Board and a founding member of S.C.O.P.E., Stetson Council on Professionalism and Ethics.
Ms. Curtis is a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida Bar and the Lakeland Bar Association. She has litigated claims before Judges of Compensation Claims throughout the state and the First District Court of Appeal. She is also on the Board of Directors for Girls, Inc. of Lakeland.
