Biography
I am the Founder and Managing Attorney of Guardline Law, a St. Petersburg based law firm handling Criminal Defense and Family Law cases.
I attended the University of Florida beginning in 2003, receiving a Bachelor of Arts. I then attended Stetson University College of Law, and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2012. While studying law at Stetson, I competed with the Nation’s Top-ranked Trial Team and received intensive training in trial practice and procedure from a variety of Judges, Professors and Lawyers. I also worked with the Stetson’s Student Bar association, as a teaching assistant for Trial Advocacy classes, and interned for Circuit Court Judge Amy Williams in Saint Petersburg.
After a year of handling plaintiff’s personal injury actions, I decided to transition to criminal defense. For four years I represented indigent citizens of Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas County as an Assistant Public Defender. During those years I handled thousands of criminal cases ranging from minor traffic infractions to first degree life felonies. With more than 40 criminal defense trials and hundreds of written motions, I developed a penchant for standing up against the criminal justice machine. During my final year in public service, I focused on DUI defense, trying a dozen cases in that year alone. I understand that pretrial litigation and trials are equally important, and I believe in pursuing as many options for clients as possible.
After four years of public service, I have handled a combination of criminal defense, civil defense, family law, and consumer protection cases. In August 2021, I founded Guardline Law, a modern law firm offering virtual consultations and representation to clients facing criminal prosecution and family law matters. All of my clients can reach me directly at their convenience once the firm has been retained.
