When someone is accused or charged, regardless of whether it is a DUI, child abuse, sexual assault, drug possession, theft, or homicide, no one possesses more motivation than Mr. Finebloom in zealously protecting his client's rights under the law and seeing to it that they are afforded a fair trial. He combines his trial experience with a personal commitment to his clients in order to offer competent representation in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Defending individuals charged with a crime is in my blood. When I started my career as a Public Defender in Sarasota County, I fought for each one of my clients working hard to protect their Constitutional Rights, regardless of the outcome. As a partner in my firm with David Haenel, I have the opportunity to provide each of my clients with personal representation combined with the same tenacious attitude that I had as a Public Defender, but with many more resources. I continue to use everything I have learned in the past years to the benefit of my clients and strive to achieve the best result in each and every case.
I have tried over 60 cases to juries throughout the State of Florida including Sarasota, Manatee, Hillsborough and Orange counties. If you need someone with experience trying cases I am up for the job.

Replied last April 02, 2015I pride myself on being an advocate for all my clients and this client’s review is not indicative of my work product as a defense attorney, and more importantly, of the representation I provided to ‘Thomas.’ I am disappointed that Thomas was not satisfied with his experience. Thomas was originally arrested for a felony aggravated battery due to an altercation with a roommate. Within a few weeks, after I quickly filed motions with the court, Thomas was permitted to return to his residence and I was able to convince the State Attorney’s Office to ‘no file’ the felony charge and file on a reduced, simple misdemeanor charge of battery. Looking back at his case leaves me struggling with his level of dissatisfaction because of the focus, attention and effort I provided to him while defending the charges filed against him. Over the course of my representation, Thomas and I met and discussed the strengths and weaknesses of his case, the strategy of defense and the potential outcomes. Thomas was updated constantly (both via email as well as telephone) regarding court appearances, conversations I had with the state attorney and case status. Ultimately, I explained to Thomas the strength of the case and the high likelihood of success at trial. This case was always going to be a trial if the State did not drop the charges and never once did I advise Thomas to take any plea. At no time during the course of my representation did Thomas complain or suggest to me that my representation was anything less than stellar. In fact, during the course of my representation, Thomas recommended me to several individuals, repeatedly thanked me for my attention to detail and constantly looked to me for advice. I wish Thomas the best of luck in the future. I will continue to provide all my clients with zealous advocacy and superior representation evidenced by the hundreds of prior clients’ reviews and referrals.
