Anthony Rubino was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He graduated from Palmetto Senior High School in 1989. He went to college at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, graduating in 1993. After college, Mr. Rubino entered law school and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1996. He then took and passed both the California and Florida Bar Exams and relocated back to Miami in 1997.
Once in Miami, he began his criminal law career at the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office under Bennett Brummer. During his 4½ years at the Public Defender’s office he worked in Juvenile, Domestic Violence, Misdemeanor Traffic, Misdemeanor Crimes and numerous Felony Court divisions where he handled literally thousands of cases. This broad spectrum allowed Mr. Rubino to gain great knowledge of the vast criminal law arena. While working at the PD Office, Mr. Rubino also formed many valuable friendships with fellow attorneys, prosecutors, judges, clerks, bailiffs, corrections officers, probation officers and judicial assistants that continue to be of great benefit to his practice today.
After leaving the PD Office in December of 2001, Mr. Rubino then went to work for his father, Frank Rubino, who is a very well-known criminal defense attorney in Miami. While there, he learned the ‘business side’ of criminal law and also polished his skills in aiding his father in the defense of many high profile clients. After two years with his father, Mr. Rubino started his own practice in January of 2004.
Today, Mr. Rubino has a remarkable boutique criminal law practice. Mr. Rubino has achieved the distinction of being rated as an AV Preeminent lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell with a perfect 5.0 out of 5.0 rating. He has also been recognized by Avvo.com with a perfect rating of 10. Mr. Rubino accepts a limited number of clients at a time and provides each client with the utmost in service and accessibility. He prides himself on ‘leaving no stone unturned’ in each case he takes on. He never takes short cuts. He always visits the scene of the crime. He takes depositions, writes motions or asks for internal affairs records where it is appropriate to the client’s defense. He watches surveillance video, checks phone and computer records and takes photos when the case calls for it. He will personally locate and interview potential defense witnesses or perform background checks on listed state witnesses. His belief is that by limiting the number of clients that he represents at a time, he is able to represent each client in the manner that they deserve to be represented.
Let criminal attorney Anthony Rubino handle your case with diligence, persistence and care.
