James Kevin Hayslett

Hired Mr. Hayslett for a complete mess of a criminal charge on the recommendation of a police detective. Was told that he's the only attorney he has nightmares about facing in court. I had met with several other lawyers who sent me boxes to my doorstep which actually arrived before I got out of jail.... (My girlfriend and I found that personaly offensive but I was desperate. Let me say this if you are reading this do yourself or your friend a favor and at least set a consultation with Mr. Hayslett. He's a solid dude who will shoot you 100% straight. Anyway he handled my case which took FOREVER and to be candid I wanted to take what they were offering but Mr. Hayslett said he wasnt done yet. 3 month later all misdeanors - no felonys, no probation and no conviction. I'm over the f!@#$ing moon fired up and grateful. No more words.

There are not enough words to describe how grateful my family and I are to have found Kevin to represent me on my second DUI. As I found myself in this position again, I was so scared and desperate. I first had the pleasure of meeting Kevin back in 2006. At that point in my life I was a Law Enforcement officer. I unfortunately made the mistake of driving while intoxicated. It is very embarrassing getting a DUI when you’re in law enforcement as it made the news. When I got the DUI, my fellow ...coworkers recommended Kevin. I’m not sure if Kevin even remembers him and in court together against each other. I remember that because I did not always have to get on the stand in court. I was nervous, he is a very good attorney with a fantastic reputation. All the law enforcement officers who dealt with any kind of traffic in Pinellas or Hillsborough Counties, know who he is. On their recommendation, I made the appointment to see him. I was embarrassed and ashamed of myself. Kevin didn’t make me feel that way at all. He was very reassuring and understanding of the situation, as we all make mistakes. I was able to come out of the ordeal, with the best possible outcome. Kevin fought long and hard for me. He went above and beyond for me and I cannot thank him enough for that. Unknown until now, that entire event changed the course of my life. Since that time Kevin and I have become friends. In 2015, I was unfortunately texting him, asking for his help once again. Kevin always has that reassuring voice, wanting to talk more about me as a person, than why I was actually there. I always leave his office, feeling better, feeling I will get out of this situation. In 2018, I was arrested for driving with a suspended license. The sheriff who pulled me over for a seatbelt violation, felt the need to take me to jail for the infraction. I tried to explain the situation, my background and that it was an error, he was not agreeing at all and wanted to take me to jail. Not only did I go to jail, I was sent in a paddy wagon for this traffic violation. At no time in my life have I ever been upset with law enforcement up until that point. Kevin once again came to my aid. We went to court and I walked out of court with seatbelt violation. Kevin is tremendous lawyer, but an even better human being. He’s is understanding of people and the mistakes they make. I hope that if I need his services in the future, it will be for more positive purposes. A mother’s worse nightmare! You’re child getting a DUI! I just was beside myself with despair. After years of lecturing my son to never drink and drive . Well I got the call from his best friend and my heart sank. 0.57 bac and clean urinalysis and arrogant police officer who was training a rookie on... DUIs that evening. The worst thing my son did was turn rt on stop sign without stopping! He deserved a tkt but not a dui. I wanted the “best” attorney to fight for my son and I got him!! Kevin knew my son didn’t deserve a dui and wasn’t impaired that evening and he fought tooth and nail for him.. Kevin called me and explained the whole battle with the state prosecutor and finally yelled, “DISMISSED”!!!! I was in tears with joy and thanked him from the bottom of my heart ❤️ He was so happy for me and my son and mostly because he knew this was the right thing to do in this case. I am forever grateful to Kevin and highly recommend this passionate attorney...
