Excellent and Diligent!
I cannot say enough good things about the work done for me by this firm, in particular Annsley Van Buskirk! I started my search for my biological family with very little knowledge other than my DNA profile, DOB and the hospital where I was born. Erica (attorney) and Annsley (paralegal) petitioned the court for my records so very promptly and we were successful! Annsley then researched and located information about my biological mother and her family. Annsley even provided photos of my brother and his family! She also initiated contact with the family so it was not so difficult for them to accept the very new and shocking information that there is another family member no one knew about! I now have a new set of relatives and am learning their (and my) family stories and rich history. This has been one of the most positive experiences in my life!

One of Life's Greatest Moments
We worked with Meredith Moore and had a excellent experience. Our adoption was a decision that we made in the best interest of our grand-daughter and to ensure that she is well taken care. Meredith was very helpful in answering all of our questions; explaining the legal process and making sure we understood everything. We highly recommend her and the office of Jeane T. Tate PA!

The best by a mile
Erica and her team saved us from a pretty terrible situation another attorney in Tampa put us in. Stepparent adoptions can be complicated but in our case it shouldn't have been and Erica righted all the wrongs and treated us with dignity and respect. We feel so fortunate that we found her and she accepted to help us. She is an expert in contested adoptions and we highly recommend her to anyone in this situation.

Happy ending with new beginnings!
We have struggled with the biological mother of my stepson (or I should say now my son!) for several years now. They have no relationship since a newborn. I’ve raised him along side of my husband, his biological father and he’s now 15. Our family attorney has helped us as much as he could to protect the child from any further stress and upset. Including assigning him a guardian ad litem. It still wasn’t enough. It’s been a long road until my attorney said it’s time to consider step parent adoption to guarantee on protection of the child. He recommended this firm. They jumped on our case immediately. Erica and Kim are an amazing team! They called us or emailed us when we were distressed even after hours to make sure we all were ok. They handled our case very carefully considering the situation and on June 6th we had yet another hearing of many of this contested adoption and adoption was granted! They both fought hard for our family with grace and diligence. Thank you both! We will always consider you as family from here forward because your hard work saved ours! Our blended family is now one! Thank you Erica and Kim!

Blended family dual adoptions
Erica is one of the most intelligent people we have ever met. She and Kim are extremely dedicated, compassionate, and incredibly well-versed in contested adoption case law. As a blended family, my wife and I adopted our respective children. Given that we expected both cases to be contested, Erica was assigned to both. It took a deep dive on her part into every nuance of our cases and lives to navigate us through the process, and ultimately succeed. Every part of it was terrifying except for the hearings and conference calls with Erica. Each and every time it was abundantly clear she had absolute control of the matter at hand, proceeding with honesty and confidence. I couldn't imagine another attorney completing our cases more fluently.

Finally a happy ending
My wife and I had been battling a stepparent adoption for myself for a longtime. This things can be very long and drawn-out and then the pandemic hit. We luckily ran across Erica. She gets the job done period!! The process was intimate and she was there every step of the way. Finally my family is whole and we can begin our new chapter. If you're in need of an attorney. Outstanding attorney
Erica and her staff were very skilled and professional in their representation of my wife and I in a complicated overseas adoption. We never doubted her ability to bring it to a successful conclusion. She explained the process to us in detail and left no question unanswered. She always returned our calls in a timely fashion and made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire proceeding. It was not an easy decision to select an attorney for such an important event in our lives but we can not say enough good things about Erica and her staff. Step Parent Adoption Made Easy!
We had a great experience with Erica and Jeanne guiding us through the process of having my husband of 14 years adopt my biological daughter. We did so to protect her from being sent to live with her biological father who she had no relationship with if something were to happen to me. They were very compassionate and thorough with their evaluation and implementation of the process. I would highly recommend them.
