My initial complaint drafted by Dan Seigel was dismissed by the Judge because it did not have the necessary facts included. I provided all of t...he facts necessary to write a detailed complaint – he included virtually none of them. And when I asked why, he told me, “I do this all the time,” and shut me down. I spent thousands of dollars only to have my complaint dismissed and then I had to start all over again – and pay him for it all over again. No apology, no discount for the amended filing, nothing. In Court he was easily rattled and made poor arguments; in one hearing he actually argued the Judge out of ruling on our behalf. On two of his five invoices he billed me at the wrong rate (higher than agreed upon, of course). When I pointed this out to him, he was curt and defensive with me. And when I fired him and found a new attorney, Dan contacted that new attorney five days after sending his final invoice to ask if he was going to get paid. His rate was 50% more than every other attorney I contacted, and while he advertises “concierge service,” the only thing concierge about his service was his price.
