Biography
Mr. Merrill's experience includes the filing of a multitude of personal and business bankruptcy cases across the state of Florida and in New Jersey, and he has been involved in complex bankruptcy matters throughout the Southeastern United States. In addition to having been involved in Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 filings, as an active trial and appellate attorney he also has extensive experience trying bankruptcy adversary proceedings having represented debtors and creditors including Citibank, Sears National Bank, Diner's club and other large institutional lenders. His appellate experience includes appearances before the Fourth and Eleventh Circuit Courts as well as a petition to the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Merrill's representations include extremely complex individual matters and he has successfully represented commercial debtors in the construction, health care, mining, gas and oil and manufacturing industries.
In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Mr. Merrill also provides consultative services to the financial services industry relating to federal and state regulatory compliance.

David provided a FREE consultation w/ myself regarding a minor family law issue. He provided great advice to attempt to resolve this issue first w/o hiring an attorney. Many attorneys will ramble on without and direct steps, however, David provided some direct advice to assist me in my legal issue...
