Up Front and Honest
I consulted with Mr. Tucker while in the process of starting my own law firm. We spoke regarding the need for a trademark. Mr. Tucker explained to me the purpose and benefits of having a trademarked logo, as well as which types of businesses would benefit the most. After a lengthy conversation, Mr. Tucker informed me that I did not need a trademark for my firm, or at least, I would not receive any substantial harm from failing to obtain one. He did not charge me for the consultation or advice. I am very appreciative of the time he took to speak with me and the information he provided.

This is an example of the complexity and difficulty understanding complex patent and trademark issues. In this particular clients case, federal trademark rights were not available. However, I did suggest the client file a state trademark. Failing to register your trademark is never advisable!
