If you are looking for a family lawyer or are not happy with your current lawyer, my only advice is this: go and hire Mr. Kaufman, so that you can be represented by a knowledgeable, respectful and highly professional lawyer. I have hired Mr. Kaufman 6 times over the past few years, all aimed and p...ertaining to the protection of my son’s welfare. Before finding Mr. Kaufman, I had a few bad experiences and all from lawyers that were highly rated on Avvo and other websites, and all with years of experience and stellar resumes. The first lawyers were very unprofessional and they were not able to see the importance of my case going all the way, regardless of outcome. The next lawyer stopped answering my phone calls and after more than a week I decided to start looking for another lawyer. I then went back to a lawyer who I had hired on a previous case, but upon returning to his office he did not remember me, not even after reviewing the case he did for us. He then started promising outcomes, I saw this as a red flag and decided to keep looking. At that point, after searching through names and reviews and because my husband recalled his name from a case he did for a family member, I went to Mr. Kaufman. At the beginning, he did not want to take the case (probably after he saw all the lawyers that had already been on the case), but by some miracle agreed to take the case at the end. I still don’t know what made Mr. Kaufman change his mind, but it was a God sent moment (as my husband always puts it). Mr. Kaufman understood the moral basis of why we were in this case, which prior lawyers missed. His level of professionalism is unparalleled, not just with me as his client, but in court as well. He conducted himself with the utmost respect for others while being firm in his position. His advice was always welcomed as I knew it came with our best interest at heart and when we didn’t see eye to eye he would listen to what I had to say and my position. Mr. Kaufman always answers my calls, or if busy returns my calls. His assistant was amazing and would always be on top of what was happening and always had an open line of communication. Another important point is that unlike all the other lawyers, we never felt that Mr. Kaufman was taking advantage of us financially. It’s sad that we couldn’t find lawyers with half the decency, respect, professionalism and wisdom in which Mr. Kaufman carries himself. The miami area will lose an amazing lawyer whenever he retires. Thank you Mr. Kaufman, my amount of gratitude towards you can’t be put into enough words. P.S. His office staff needs to be rated as well with an A+. I can’t stress how important the office staff is. Many of the lawyers we called when first looking around, their office staff were rude and most of the time created a barrier for the lawyers to speak with us; ultimately driving us away. Mr.Kaufman’s office staff are not only highly professional but they are very in tune with him and there is always a line of communication you can depend on.
