I hired Mr. Kaufman 3 yrs ago to help my son on his child custody battle, I would tell you this lawyer has what it takes to get things done, a well prepare and extremly knowledgeable on Family division matters lawyer. Steve always kept my son and I informed on all procedings. There were several mistakes made by the attorney during discovery. He did not read the documents and provide valid advice. His office encouraged phone calls and questions and billed his rate for that of associate who also served as receptionist. During discovery meeting the attorney/receptionsit answ...ered multiple phone calls and was distracted adding to the length of the meeting. During meetings with Mr Kaufman he answered his cell phone and carried on perosnal conversations. The attorney permited a deposition and went to the depo unprepared and had not reviewed the emplyment contract/documentation provided to him. Instead of trying to resolve amicably he created a more antagonistic situation with opposing counsel.
