First off Steve and his team were "Amazing" This whole experience for me was stressful but man was the team polite and i always felt like they cared deeply for my BEST NEEDS AND INTEREST.. Steve is a VERY busy attorney rightfully so after 40 years plus of doing excellent work im sure his clientel is ...huge.. Im a Kansas resident and i needed a Florida attorney because the ex left with my child. After a very long lasting divorce and several mediations and ending in trial Steve and his team were by my side 24/7.. Seriously it felt that way . Prior to trial Steve even used his saturday and sunday to go over and practice and have me ready for that day. "Trial is a BIG thing and my nerves were toast but Steve said you got this Mike.. I felt like i was being coached very well.. Not only is it stressful for myself but also for Steve and team because when it all comes to head 4.5 years after the initial papers being handed to me its a big moment .. The reason it took so long wasnt Steve's fault it was my undecisive other half.. But its all done and Steves rate over 4.5 years was VERY fair.. Steve is a no B.S attorney and will tell you how it is and #1 thing i can say as being his client is to LISTEN and DO what your attorney ask you to do also never be afraid to ask questions as he always wanted me to ask anything i wanted to know..After the Trial and all exhibits were presented we had a victory .. I was looking for an attorney to hire to help me enforce my parenting plan. I was between two attorneys and the reason I went ahead with Mr. Steven D. Kaufman was he told me from the beginning exactly what he wanted to do with my case. I felt, comparing to the other attorney I spoke to previously, he... was the one with more experience and the only attorney to describe how he will approach my case. In addition, Mr. Kaufman was always available through text message/phone call. This was very surprising, but it made me feel he was always ready to speak on my case and give me the best legal advice possible. I would be more than happy to hire Mr. Kaufman again for any family law issue I may have in the future. His assistant, Ms. Hernandez, is a hardworking and intuitive individual. I would highly recommend this attorney!

If you are looking for a family lawyer or are not happy with your current lawyer, my only advice is this: go and hire Mr. Kaufman, so that you can be represented by a knowledgeable, respectful and highly professional lawyer. I have hired Mr. Kaufman 6 times over the past few years, all aimed and p...ertaining to the protection of my son’s welfare. Before finding Mr. Kaufman, I had a few bad experiences and all from lawyers that were highly rated on Avvo and other websites, and all with years of experience and stellar resumes. The first lawyers were very unprofessional and they were not able to see the importance of my case going all the way, regardless of outcome. The next lawyer stopped answering my phone calls and after more than a week I decided to start looking for another lawyer. I then went back to a lawyer who I had hired on a previous case, but upon returning to his office he did not remember me, not even after reviewing the case he did for us. He then started promising outcomes, I saw this as a red flag and decided to keep looking. At that point, after searching through names and reviews and because my husband recalled his name from a case he did for a family member, I went to Mr. Kaufman. At the beginning, he did not want to take the case (probably after he saw all the lawyers that had already been on the case), but by some miracle agreed to take the case at the end. I still don’t know what made Mr. Kaufman change his mind, but it was a God sent moment (as my husband always puts it). Mr. Kaufman understood the moral basis of why we were in this case, which prior lawyers missed. His level of professionalism is unparalleled, not just with me as his client, but in court as well. He conducted himself with the utmost respect for others while being firm in his position. His advice was always welcomed as I knew it came with our best interest at heart and when we didn’t see eye to eye he would listen to what I had to say and my position. Mr. Kaufman always answers my calls, or if busy returns my calls. His assistant was amazing and would always be on top of what was happening and always had an open line of communication. Another important point is that unlike all the other lawyers, we never felt that Mr. Kaufman was taking advantage of us financially. It’s sad that we couldn’t find lawyers with half the decency, respect, professionalism and wisdom in which Mr. Kaufman carries himself. The miami area will lose an amazing lawyer whenever he retires. Thank you Mr. Kaufman, my amount of gratitude towards you can’t be put into enough words. P.S. His office staff needs to be rated as well with an A+. I can’t stress how important the office staff is. Many of the lawyers we called when first looking around, their office staff were rude and most of the time created a barrier for the lawyers to speak with us; ultimately driving us away. Mr.Kaufman’s office staff are not only highly professional but they are very in tune with him and there is always a line of communication you can depend on.

Mr. Kaufman was recommended by a close friend of mine dealing with custody issues. He went above and beyond and helped her to attain the results that she desired. Needless to say, I sought him out for my divorce. He was very honest with me during my consultation. He took the time to explain every pos...sible outcome. Additionally, my ex-husband is an narcissist, he basically ignored court orders and was non-compliant during the entire divorce proceedings. He wanted to prolong the divorce. Mr. Kaufman handled this in a very professional manner while ensuring the best outcome for me. I am very pleased with the results.
