Attorney Mario R. Theodore founded Fair Price Legal to bridge the gap between quality counsel and affordability. His earliest professional role at the Cook County Sheriff’s Department of Corrections exposed him to the harsh reality that justice often favors those with means. Motivated by friends and relatives who struggled to find honest advocates, he pursued a journalism degree at Columbia College Chicago before earning his law degree from UIC. As a public defender, Mario handled cases ranging from minor infractions to serious felonies, honing both legal strategy and a client-centered approach. Reestablishing Fair Price Legal in 2021, he focuses on family law, immigration services reflecting his personal heritage, and comprehensive life planning—including wills and real estate matters. Collaborations with the Florida Coalition for Domestic Violence and the Florida Police Benevolent Association have enriched his perspective. Mario’s mission remains clear: deliver empathetic, principled legal support at a fair price.

You Decide!
Mario Theodore helped me with my Foreclosure and kept me up to date with everything. However, I had a second mortgage which turned into a judgement and when I sought help from him several times it was completely ignored until it turned into a wage garnishment and then I was charged $1500. I decline...
Ms. Walker came to my firm as a referral from someone at a litigation support company. On many occasions I informed Ms. Walker that she retained us solely for the first mortgage and that I would need information and a new retainer regarding assistance with the second mortgage. She did inform us of the wage garnishment and I advised her that I would be more than happy to help but that it was a totally different issue than what we were retained for and what we would charge to try and resolve her second matter. She was also instructed on many occasions that it appeared the litigation support firm which she had a relationship with stated they had her file and would refer her to a different attorney. There was nothing more that we could have done other than what we did. We never ignore anyone.
"I endorse this lawyer. Mario is a dedicated, passionate, smart and hardworking attorney, who truly cares about his clients."
"I endorse this lawyer. He was very professional. I was able to amicably resolve a matter due to his prompt attention to the matter."
"I endorse this lawyer. There are few lawyers with his character and integrity. He knows what he is doing and is extremely personable and charming. I'm sure he uses those skills effectively when trying to cut the best deal possible with the other side, or when representing your cause before a judge."
"Mario is very confident in the courtroom is is not afraid to push your case. I recommend him for other areas of law as well, such as family and immigration cases. If he says he can handle your case, he can do it."
