my case went to trial..... and we won!!!!!!!

My home has been in foreclosure since 2010. I was referred to Debi by a friend after the first lawyer I retained was useless and withdrew from my case a day before our first hearing. Luckily, the judge gave me 20 days to find a new lawyer. Debi was not hesitant to take my case and she even said ther...e would be a chance to stay in my home. After several years of Debi keeping us updated, our case was set for a non-jury trial. Watching your foreclosure trial is nerve wracking to say the least, but watching Debi in action... I was amazed. Not only did she know the law, she had the plaintiffs attorney stumbling over her own words. It took the judge a couple days to decide, but WE WON. They filed a motion for rehearing, which was also denied. They did not file an appeal, but they were smart. They knew they had no chance. Debi is an amazing, educated, caring lawyer and she is an angel to me and my family. It is hard find a foreclosure case where the defendant wins at trial. I just wanted people to know it does happen, if you hire an educated and caring attorney like Mrs. Rumph.

Foreclosure averted

I began my foreclosure fight with another attorney. The stategy at that time was to delay, delay, delay. However, I wanted to keep my home and the stategy being followed was not going to do that. I found Atty. Rumph through a mutual friend. Within a year my mortgage was modified, finalize and... the foreclosure proceeding were stopped. However, Atty Rumph did not stop there. She continued followup with opposing council until I had a final release from the foreclosure in my hand. I have and will continue to recommend Atty Rumph to anyone that I know in need of her services.

A sharp attorney that cares about you and your case and deserves a bonus!

After being poorly represented for 5 months by another attorney in a residential foreclosure, I interviewed 5 replacement attorneys and selected Debi Rumph because she was sharp, formally a law school professor, assertive and specialized in residential matters. Fortunately, she also ended up being m...ore economical that most too. Well I'm happy to report that unlike my previous attorney, Debi has exceeded my high expectation. She knows the law, keeps me as involved and informed as I want to be, is very very organized and takes a total quality approach to her work. And I get that important feeling that is often lacking with attorneys, i.e., that me and my case are important to her and that she's earning every penny. So much so, you feel like she deserves a bonus or gratuity. Anyway, case isn't over yet!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
