Scott Schlegel

I hired this person because of his 20 some years of experience. He handed my case right away to an associate with 2 years of experience. He didn't do the work, and the opposing party danced circles around the associate. Now the associate just quit after less than a year with the firm, and my case is ...in limbo. The entire firm is a mess. They talk a lot, but they don't do the work. I don't know if they used to be better, but I really question the positive reviews.

From start to finish the Schlegel law team were very much on top of and attentive to my case. They thoroughly reviewed all the details and gave honest feedback. When it came to trial, they were extremely prepared and organized. Scott fought for me and it culminated in an amazing result. I retained Scott Schlegel to represent me in an injunction case. He was then able to use the situation to our advantage and come up with a mutually accepted agreement to remedy the situation as well as many family law issues I had issues with said individual. Scott went above and beyond what most ...attorneys are willing to do. He showed up the night before the hearing and he was able to sit down and go over how the following day was going to go and how to handle any situation. Upon showing up to the court room he was very familiar with the entire process and he even had out of city attorneys approaching him to greet him. He was able to get the judge to grant us some time to sort out our agreement and he typed out the entire contract on the spot in the court room. Talk about an amazing attorney and law firm! Scott was able to save us what could have easily been $20k+. Businesses are for profit organizations - and most attorneys take advantage of the circumstances. I didn't negotiate Scott's prices with him and in turn he looked out for my best interests and saved us tons of money. Scott and his team are worth EVERY single penny that you will pay to have them assist with your legal case. Very grateful to find such an amazing law group to work with!

I DEFINITELY don't recommend this lawyer. Unfortunately a lot of his bad reviews are true. He does threaten to withdrawal from court case, he did this to me 2 days prior to court said i needed to pay him or he would withdrawal, felt like i was strong armed into paying him. His office does not communi...cate with you. Left messages for him and his staff only to be never returned. Was told reply by email so they can up charge your bill even more. Was double billed for services. Never informed me of a court date until a lil under a week before date was here. Does not have a payment option plan. When i met him at court he looked like he was out all nite and felt like he wasn't very presentable lawyer to me. Was called by his staff shortly after hiring him and asked to go and review him with positive marks on here, feel this tactic is not very appropriate as I have not completed my business with him. Yet they want good positive marks??? It seems more than one person has complained about his firm and about same issues, is this coincidence? I really don't think so, seems there is a pattern here. As for his responses HA what a joke those are. My suggestion to him "Scott take more interest into you firm. Call people back when they leave messages. Keep in contact with your clients GIVE YOUR CLIENTS A LIL MORE PERSONAL ATTENTION." As consumers we are paying for your services and do expect you to provide the service for which you are being paid for.

SCOTT WAS RETAINED AND AN AGREEMENT WAS MADE THAT A SUM WOULD BE PROVIDED AND USED TO WORK ON MY CASE. HOWEVER, SHOULD MY CASE REQUIRE ADDITIONAL FUNDS, A CONVERSATION WOULD TAKE PLACE PRIOR SO NOT TO EXCEED X AMOUNT. MY CASE WAS SETTLED, AND I WAS ADVISED I WOULD RECEIVE A REFUND OF UNUSED FUNDS. TH...EN HE ADVISED THAT WAS INCORRECT AND I NOW OWE HIM XXXXXX $$$$$$$$$$. WHEN I QUESTIONED THE CHARGES, THEY INCREASED! HE CONTINUED TO SEND "CORRECTED" INVOICES, SHOWING HEAFTY INCREASES IN THE AMOUNT "OWED" EACH TIME! I AM STILL WAITING TO SEE A DETAILED INVOICE & EXPLANATION OF CHARGES!!
