Paula Elisabeth Pratt

After I researched Florida Matrimonial Attorneys, my elderly father hired Ms. Pratt based upon my research and recommendation from a former Pratt & Morrison client. Although my father was the client I asked Ms. Pratt to keep me in the loop. I felt she kept me and my father fully informed throughout ...the litigation. Her office worked tirelessly to settle his divorce with out wasting time and client's money (escrow) on needless litigation. Of course my father wanted a quick and easy divorce but there is no such thing as quick and easy when it comes to divorce. Ms. Pratt is an excellent litigation/trial attorney. She will fight hard for her client. Her staff, particularly Natalia are supportive and knowledgeable. If Ms. Pratt was not available Natalia had answer or was able to return a phone call with an answer. I read the past negative reviews about this attorney which I feel are unwarranted... Divorce law is a tough battle between two parties who are so blinded by their emotion and hatred they don't seem to understand the attorney is working hard behind the scene to resolve the issues. Court dates and waiting for a trial date are not within the attorney's control. This area of the law is a practice is patience and listening skills. Ms. Pratt has both. I highly recommend Pratt & Morrison and would not hesitate to refer someone to her office.

Paula and Natalia (paralegal) were very helpful throughout my divorce process. I was always informed and when push came to shove they were able to get a me a court date in a short amount of time. She does free consultations and was reasonably priced. I have referred her to many friends and would u...se her again in the future.

Run, run fast! Many times she did not return emails for weeks at a time. She would not return phone calls until the third or fourth call. She took 5 months to actually file for dissolution of marriage after I directed her in person to file immediately, costing me assets and time. She did not repre...sent me in a manner that was in my best interest. I felt her intent was to give away whatever the opposing side asked for with the intent to settle as fast as possible. Looking back, the settlement she negotiated for me ended up being the most I could have been exposed to in court. Her office was a paid to file corrected quit claim deeds of real estate after the settlement, but they did it incorrectly two times so I ended up doing it myself.

I started working with Paul over 6 years ago. As a single dad fighting for custody of my then 1 year old daughter, I knew I was in for a long difficult road. Paula worked very hard to litigate my case despite the numerous complexities that we had to overcome. I remember many instances where I had to... contact Paula after hours for what would be deemed rather serious issues, and Paula was ALWAYS responsive. I will say my case was far from easy to litigate due to the geographical disparity between the mother and myself as well as the courtroom drama that would always unfold in the 20+ hearings we had to go through. For instances, there would be times that I would present ideas to her and she would have to bring me back down to earth by asking if I truly believed those ideas were in the best interests of my case and more importantly my daughter. On February 20th 2016, I was finally awarded majority permanent custody of my daughter. It will be a day that I will always remember and I have Paula to thank for that. If you need an attorney who will work on your behalf and will strategically fight for your rights, consider Paula Pratt. You will not be disappointed. A word of caution, Paula is a highly respected attorney in the Central Florida area with many clients. This means she is very busy however, she will always address your needs and respond accordingly.

She did not fight for me. She did not file a response to a petition for dissolution. She did not even request a court date for trial. She does not return phone calls or emails or text messages. I did not have a good experience. I was forced to terminate her NO-services and hire another firm. She shou...ld be avoided and business practices investigated. Talk about over promise and under-deliver.
