Since 1993, Protecting Your Freedom. Get the Help You Need.
Mr. Guidry graduated, with Honors, from St. Louis University School of Law in 1993 with his Juris Doctor, a Masters of Business Administration, and his Bacholor's Degree was in Accounting. Mr. Guidry began his criminal defense career at the Orange County Public Defender's Office in 1993, under the wonderful supervision of then elect Public Defender Joseph DuRocher (in my opinion, the best public defender, ever). In 2001, Mr. Guidry left his position as a Felony Division Chief with that office to begin his private practice in downtown Orlando, right next to the Orange County Courthouse (where his office remains to this day).
Mr. Guidry owned and operated U.M.P. Recording Studio, an Orlando recording facility he founded in 1998. In 2009, he sold U.M.P. to a record label, but retained a mastering facility, where to this day Mr. Guidry still engineers and masters albums for artists all over Florida.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
I've known John Guidry for about 20 years. One of the key components of the lawyer-client relationship (or any relationship for that matter) is trust. John is not only a smart, conscientious, and aggressive lawyer, he is someone you can absolutely trust and, believe me, I don't say that about everyone. When I have something where I need the assistance of another attorney, John is among the lawyers I will call because I can trust that he will be there, on time, and he will be prepared as he always is. If you hire John, you will be getting a top flight lawyer.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
When I was a prosecutor I always knew that the cases handled by John Guidry would end up with the best result for his client. He knows that it's important to have a good relationship with the other side in order to get a great resolution for the client. A stellar lawyer, highly recommended!

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I've been opposing counsel against Mr. Guidry on a number of cases in County Court. As a prosecutor, I can say that Mr. Guidry definitely does his homework and works hard for his clients. He is always prepared and always provides me with information in order to either get a better plea offer for his client, or to properly prepare the case for trial. Mr. Guidry is experienced, knowledgeable, and hard working. You can't go wrong hiring him for any of your criminal defense needs.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
John and I worked together on a matter in which our client was picked up at JFK Airport on a warrant lodged from Florida. With John's assistance, we were able to get her released on her own recognizance in Florida, the criminal case dismissed in NY, and released from immigration authorities. Excellent criminal defense attorney!
