I called Elizabeth after receiving my notice to appear and told her about my situation. She was very thorough and helpful in reviewing my application and making recommendations. I made it a point to follow her advice and revised my application by making appropriate amendments in the interest of candor. When it came time for my investigative hearing, Elizabeth helped me to prepare for questions and effectively convey my application and good character. Elizabeth helped me meet my objective to obtain clearance. She has the knowledge and experience to help applicants through the investigative hearing process. She will make the process understandable and approachable by communicating with you at every stage. I would highly recommend her for representation. A huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders because Elizabeth was willing to help me. I would not recommend going it alone or hiring someone who does not have experience working with the Board. Elizabeth is more than worth it! Elizabeth is passionate about helping applicants. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to help her clients. I think if you follow her recommendations, you have the best chance of success.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Elizabeth yesterday to discuss my investigative hearing with the FBBE. Elizabeth provided me with some amazing advice and was extremely honest with me. She recommended how to handle my specific situation and what to do moving forward. Although I did not have to hire her as my attorney, I would highly recommend her for anyone who needs assistance with the FBBE. She is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Elizabeth knows how to make you feel comfortable and is very easy to speak to. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

Pay attention to what she says closely.
I had the privilege to have her as my attorney for a little while. I was impressed with her experience and how hard she worked in trying to uncover anything that the bar might need before hand for a character and fitness evaluation.

Role model attorney, the perfect defense to the FBBE.
Elizabeth is a role model attorney that deeply cares for her clients. I hope I do not hold the record for the longest running client of her’s but I bet I am close. If you are reading these reviews most likely you are in a bad situation, and you might not even realize how bad of a situation you are in. You need someone experienced, and Elizabeth is experienced. Elizabeth is also prompt, thorough, fair, and most importantly kind. Elizabeth, thank you for helping me achieve admission to the bar!

Efficient with brilliant legal services and awesome approach to presentation of a completed bar application.
I want to provide the highest recommendation to anyone who needs the assistance of an attorney during the process of an investigative hearing with the Florida bar. Elizabeth Conan is truly a professional and is highly skilled in her preparation for her clients. She provided direction for me with instructions and recommendations for amendments of each question that required more clarity and corrections on what needed to be presented. My experience with Elizabeth was exceptional and her counsel and review of my complete application allowed me to have my application accepted with a short investigative Hearing. Elizabeth prepared me well and was always available for additional time to counsel me on needed direction. I whole heartedly recommend Elizabeth Conan to anyone who is going through the Florida Bar application process. I wish I had engaged her services from the outset.

Excellent professional and great human being
I hired Elizabeth to represent me in an investigative hearing with the FBBE. At the moment I spoke with her for the first time I knew she was the right attorney for me. First of all, I contacted her in December for a hearing in March and she told me she could not take my case because she already had 7 cases for March hearings. Then I decided to schedule my hearing for April to have her with me and was the best thing I could do. Elizabeth reviewed my Bar and Law School application and made suggestions to amend those. She prepared me very well for the hearing with questions that they could ask me. On the day of the hearing I met her at the agreed time and she made me feel very calm and confident. We went to the hearing and it went exactly the way she told me it would go. There were no surprises at the hearing. Three days later I saw my number on the Bar Exam passing list and two days later Elizabeth called me saying the FBBE made my recommendation. The process was better than I expected because I had Elizabeth by my side. She cares about her clients and you can feel her passion for what she does. She was happy as I was when I received my approval. Excellent professional, great human being and very different from many of the attorneys I had met in the past.

Nothing but the best
I'll be honest. I have been a practicing attorney for 22 years and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have issues with the Florida Board of Bar Examiners but when that certified letter came, I was devastated. I immediately called and interviewed several attorneys. All were very nice and outlined their plan of attack. Only Elizabeth Conan outlined a plan that was completely thorough and left me feeling confident that if I had to go to a hearing, at the very least we would go prepared. And prepared she was. We had practice sessions, multiple conversations, and she provided substantial input and recommendations. I followed all of her advice, and I am thrilled to say I am now admitted to the State Bar of Florida. Look, she can't undo the conduct that brought you before the Board, but she can help you be as prepared as anyone could ever be, and she will be a calm voice of reason throughout the whole process. I can't recommend Elizabeth enough.

Highly Recommend for Bar Admissions!
Navigating the Florida Bar Admissions process was highly stressful as an individual who had "lived" before law school. I am confident I would not have had the same successful outcome had it not been for the help of Ms. Conan. She was efficient, respectful, and knowledgeable in her representation. I highly recommend seeking her assistance if you have any concerns about your application.

Highly recommended for Florida Board of Bar Examiners Application and Hearings
I am a licensed attorney with 25+ years experience in another state. I hired Ms. Conan to represent me before the Florida Board of Bar Examiners for my Florida Bar application and an investigative hearing. Ms. Conan was very personable, timely and prompt. Her retainer agreement and fees were reasonable, thoroughly explained and accurate. Her advice and counsel were forthright, realistic and highly effective. Her preparation, demeanor and performance during the hearing was very professional and beneficial. Her advice, counsel and representation resulted in my admission to the Florida Bar following one investigative hearing. I highly recommend Ms. Conan.

Extremely Thorough and Straightforward.
I hired Ms. Conan to assist me with an investigative hearing before the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. She is an amazing attorney and person. She will be thorough in helping you prepare and in reviewing your history and bar application. My favorite thing about working with Ms. Conan is that she is straightforward about your situation and potential outcomes after the hearing. She will not sugar coat a situation just to make the client feel good for no reason. Ms. Conan makes sure that her clients are taken care of, no matter what is going on in her personal life. She is very available to answer even small questions. I cannot recommend her enough!

The Best Representative
First things first, if you have an investigatory hearing, do not waste any more of your time and call Ms. Conan! I thoroughly researched different attorney’s and spoke to some about my issue. However, when I spoke with Ms. Conan, it could not have been anymore clear that she was the one. I cannot speak on everyone’s particular issue but among other things, my application needed to be amended several times due to the fact that many items on it could have been explained more clearly. I would be lying if I said that this process was easy because it was not. Ms. Conan understands this whole process and it was evident after my hearing that everything she did was a setup for success. Not only was Ms. Conan an excellent, superb, remarkable, and admirable representative for me, but so much of her tact and expertise rubbed off on me. I wish I had not been called in front of the Florida Bar, but one thing I am happy about is the fact that I got the opportunity to meet Ms. Conan.
Thank you so much Ms. Conan!!

A Brilliant, Respectful, and Professional Attorney
I contacted Ms. Conan when I did not find a way to obtain my bar clearance from a previous issue I had in college. Since the first consultation, I was amazed by her expertise in the field and her patience. Ms. Conan stayed with me on the phone for an hour and was very direct on what I had to do. Although at first I was hesitant to hire her because her office is located in Orlando and I live in Miami, I decided to do it after consulting with several other attorneys because I felt very comfortable to have her as my attorney. Her dedication to my case, her professionalism, and knowledge in the field is worth every penny. I followed her advise and did everything that she recommended me to do. When I finally had my hearing, I was very nervous and even cried after it was over. Ms. Conan was there to comfort me not only as my attorney, but also as my friend and gave me hope that everything was going to be fine...and it really was. After about a week, I finally received the clearance letter from the bar that I was waiting for more than a year. I then passed the bar and I am now practicing law in Florida. Thus, I would strongly recommend Ms. Conan, without any hesitations. She is really a one of a kind attorney.

Thankful to have worked with Ms. Conan
In September 2016, I found out I passed the bar, however, I had not yet received my C&F clearance. I had some concerns that there were things in my past that may be giving the BBE pause. I wish I had contacted Ms. Conan right then instead of waiting until December 2016 when I got my notice to appear for an investigative hearing.
My notice included several issues that I did not expect. Despite this, I thought about choosing the very first hearing I could attend, and handling it on my own. When I spoke to my employer about this, I was advised against handling it on my own, and was given some recommendations for attorneys. Initially, I consulted another attorney who did not deter me from picking the first available hearing date (February 2017), told me 4-6 weeks of once a week hearing prep would be the focus of the preparation, and that ultimately I had a 50-50 shot at being cleared. All of this without taking a look at my bar application.
I found Ms. Conan's reviews online, and knew that a friend had also been working with her. I called her next, and knew right away that I wanted to work with her, too.
Ms. Conan was very informative about what the process of preparing for a hearing should look like, which was far more extensive than the other attorney had lead me to believe, and that a better estimate of when I would be adequately prepared was May 2017 at the earliest. I really did not want to drag out this process until May, an entire 5 months later, but ultimately, she was right.
Ms. Conan did an extremely thorough review of my bar application and amendments, helped me comb through the documents that the BBE had put together in their investigation, and gave me a 20+ page review of all the things that could be improved via further amendments. For months she reviewed my various drafts, answered my millions of questions, and scheduled times to do hearing preparation over the phone (since I do not live in the Orlando area). She prepared multiple pages of tailored questions for me to review and prepare for. They were not questions that I wanted to be asked, but I knew would be asked. Dealing with the emotional aspect ahead of time and being able to think through the response was critical in my ability to be thoughtful and honest during the hearing. It gave me a chance to think about the question from the BBE's perspective and to try to understand what they really want to know - what is at the heart of the concern. That's essentially what Ms. Conan helps you to understand.
I followed Ms. Conan's advice and guidance as closely as possible, I would say I followed through with about 95% of what was suggested to me. I did not always think what was being asked of me was entirely necessary, but I trusted Ms. Conan's experience and judgment. I put together a 30 page-ish amendment, with just about as many pages in supporting documentation. I did all the volunteer work and other requirements Ms. Conan suggested. Together we set reasonable deadlines, which I strived to meet, even though I was working full time, and no matter how busy Ms. Conan was, she met hers. We communicated almost weekly. During the last couple of weeks, when the enormity of the hearing began to weigh on me, Ms. Conan was patient and kind and offered words of compassion.
Ultimately, I had my hearing in May 2017 - and it had actually taken me up until then to adequately prepare. I found out a little less than a week after the hearing that my admission had been recommended by the panel and I had been cleared!
Ms. Conan was professional, extremely thorough and knowledgeable, organized, and kind. My goal when I was looking for an attorney was to find someone who would help me place myself in the best position possible prior to and during the hearing, and would treat me with kindness and respect. While no one can do the [tremendous amount of] work for you, Ms. Conan is the best guide I could've asked for.

Florida Bar Admission
I received a notice for an investigating hearing from the Florida Bar in the fall of 2016. I retained Ms.
Conan in preparation for this hearing. She evaluated my case and walked me through the entire process. She was attentive, responsive and thorough when evaluating the additional amendments and documents requested by the Bar.
What I found most valuable from my experience with Ms. Conan was that she made me do numerous amendments to my Florida Bar application. This not only cleared up a lot of issues regarding my character to the Bar, but was extremely helpful when answering the board members' questions at the hearing. A week after my hearing I finally received my clearance.

Elizabeth Conan
I retained Ms. Conan in 2016 after receiving an investigative hearing notice from the FL bar. Obviously I was pretty concerned about the possibility of being denied admission to the bar after spending over 2 years in law school.
From the start, Ms. Conan was attentive, knowledgable, and caring. We discussed the issues in my background and for the first time in a while I didn't feel judged about it. Ms. Conan seemed more interested in giving me the advice I needed - rather than just selling me a service. After a few days of reading up on these hearings, I decided to retain Ms. Conan.
From day one, she was always available when I needed. Ms. Conan takes the time to make sure you fully understand each step of the process and the pros/cons of each action. Most importantly, she will tell you exactly what the Bar expects from the applicant - which is something my law school neglected to explain.
Ms. Conan will review your application with a fine tooth comb. Then she will somehow find more background issues that you probably don't know about (dont panic). She will ask you to amend your application - keeping in mind her well thought out notes and suggestions. During this time, Ms. Conan will have you taking steps to "rehabilitate" your character. This rehabilitation depends upon the facts of your case. Ms. Conan seems to tailor every step to you and your specific case.
She will also prepare you for the hearing itself. This was the hard part. She takes the place of the hearing officer and drills you on you background. After each series of questions, she will give you input on how your answer is formulated. She knows exactly what the Bar wants to hear.
Once you get to the hearing, you're pretty much on your own - since the rules don't allow her to speak on your behalf. However, she is by your side the whole time, which really calms the nerves. Her role at this point is to ensure the bar doesn't violate your rights or stray from the proper procedures. Also, she knew my interviewers on a first name basis. I think that fact alone is worth its weight in gold. I truly believe that her presence brought a higher level of legitimacy to my hearing.
My hearing was quick and covered the areas which we prepared. I spoke honestly and concisely (Just like Ms. Conan prescribed). About a week later, I had received notice that I was cleared.
Ms. Conan was with me all the way. She is well worth the money. While I think it's possible to handle this hearings alone, I would not recommend it. Hire someone who knows these bar procedures and understands what the bar really wants from you.
I cannot reccomended Elizabeth Conan enough!

Ms. Conan's Insight and Knowledge Works
Ms. Conan has valuable experience and insight into the processes of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. I retained Ms. Conan for my investigative hearing. Her instruction in preparation for my hearing was effective, 100% on-point. Preparation for this hearing is paramount, failure to prepare effectively is a costly mistake. Ms. Conan will provide direction to avoid that academic and financial disaster. I enjoyed and respected her leadership, and her hard work, in helping me complete my Character and Fitness investigation. Thank you!
