Provided no Council

He worked for me as an attorney on a wrongful discharge case. He allowed the defense to take control of the case while taking $20,000 of my money as council. I had to hire another attorney to get the case, dismissed without penalty to me. All the while Mr. ALAN was in disciplinary with the Florida ba...r. He never told me this. Do not hire this person.

I represented this person four years ago. He was suing a government agency for withdrawing a job offer. He claimed that the job offer was withdrawn due to discrimination. When I was hired, he did not disclose to me everything about the case, which severely hampered the defense of the case. During a deposition, it was revealed that he had an undisclosed criminal charge (more than one) that was the actual basis for the job offer being withdrawn. Despite this failure to disclose, I helped negotiate a settlement for him to be paid. He did not pay me, the payment was paid out of the settlement. During the nearly two year litigation, he was unable to pay, yet I continued to represent him.

Over 4 years

I hired rasheed allen-dawson in 2017 and since then paid close to ten thousand dollars and waited four years to resolve my case never knowing what was going on with my case. I was never told anything about my case for four years then I get a letter today saying I have to go find another attorney beca...use rasheed allen-dawson does not want to represent me anymore. I am a U.S. Army military officer please don’t give this attorney any business forever.

I'd hire attorney Allen again.

Attorney Allen was very thorough and knowledgeable in all consultations. He took his time explaining and answering my questions. I felt that he was looking out for me in court and I am very satisfied with the outcome of my case.

BUYER BEWARE! UNETHICAL CON ARTIST!

Before I hired Mr. Allen he was available on the phone to talk in length and would explain everything to me and have you feel that you are in good hands. Once check was cashed there's almost no communication what so ever. He would never answer the phone or call back. EVER! We agreed on 2 separat...e phases. Phase 1 was to file the motion to cancel sale with a requested hearing and second thing was to appeal the denied 30 day extension to the sale date, he estimated $1500 retainer for it and he assured me that this is the amount needed to complete this. Phase 2 for $1000 retainer was to file an appeal in the higher court if the judge denied our motion to cancel sale. We paid $1500 for phase 1, Mr, Allen filed the motion to cancel, so far so good. Then he was supposed to file an appeal for the 30 day extension of the sale that the judge denied, but he didn't do it claiming it was void due to an earlier discharge. Ok, I accepted it knowing now I have some credit. On Feb' 13th we noticed on the Clerk of Court that opposing counsel scheduled a hearing, and with her notes she said "I attempted to resolve this matter by making a good faith effort to contact opposing counsel, Rasheed Allen, by telephone and emails as follow; Feb 8th 2017 placed phone call left a message Feb 8th 2017 sent email requesting telephone conference on Feb 9th 2017 Feb 9th 2017 sent email requesting telephone conference on Feb 10th 2017 Feb 10th 2017 called Mr. Allen in accordance with his requested time and was unable to reach him" I sent him an email (since he refuses to communicate by phone) stating that I saw an update on the clerk whats going on? He replied that the other parties have scheduled a hearing, and began to demand more money, When I asked why he wasn't available for the opposing counsel, and requested that he call her back perhaps they want to settle, he explained that its not necessary to speak to them (?? really) and he also refused to contact them when I asked him to and as my Lawyer he should have done (again he will never make a phone call for any reason!). He then demanded immediate payment of $1,000 to prepare for the upcoming Hearing "the invoice must be paid today. If the invoice is not paid we will assume you don't want us to continue representation". When questioning our credit from phase 1 as he didn't do half of what we agreed, he replied that "The hearing is in 10 days. To file an appeal we must have a court record from the hearing which includes paying a court reporter and obtaining a transcript. As we discussed...." "As we discussed" he always says that thinking he covers his lies when most of the time we NEVER discussed! Not having too many options and didn't want our case dropped and wanted our lawyer to attend the hearing and have court reporter, we paid the $1000 and the nightmare took a shocking turn. The day of the hearing - we hear NOTHING from Mr. Allen when the hearing was at 8:30 am. We check the clerk of court at noon to see our Case has been dismissed, Title issued to 3rd Party with NO OBJECTIONS due to defense lawyer not appearing!! He didnt even show up! He stole our money, lied to us he would be there and never showed up,,,we lost the House immediately! Calls to him ofcourse not returned, He finally emailed us at 3:00 and I quote "had another hearing at the same time (in another county)". Total nightmare. When we tried to confront Mr. Allen about a refund and all the steps that he was supposed to do, he said "The fee agreement says nothing of fees for certain services. That "the $2500 was the hourly retainer for initial research, review and preparation. ??? Total Scam! All lies!! We filed a complaint with the Florida bar and will report this con artist to every possible outlet to prevent him from deceiving and doing damage to other people. He is morally bankrupt, unethical and should be disbarred!
