child custody

I hired lawyer asap however without my knowledge he was appointed i paid the initial 1500 and then on going payments to equal 5000.00. So to make a long story short he went through with my case and served me. It was hard to contact him his staff were rude and only would take messages. then 2 weeks b...efore trial he demanded 5000 more dollars or he would have to drop my case. Welp...I declinedto pay and he dropped my case the weekend before trial. he promised inspite of to do his best for me even though he were to be dropped. I trusted him and had high hopes. Well trial came and left and the judge was nasty to me and so was his lawyer. A few days letter the time sharing and calculated cs payments affidavit came in mail. After reading it i didn't like the outcome undenounced to me another was to follow later that day but before then only of knowledge of me receiving one i quickly called allen office and the clerk said for me to pay asap i did that. then hours later another letter from court came with revision and i was ok with that decision so i called allen to get money back he ignored me and clerk never answered me again. he took 1500 from week before my baby bday and had no remorse. i liked him up until this point

Over 4 years

I hired rasheed allen-dawson in 2017 and since then paid close to ten thousand dollars and waited four years to resolve my case never knowing what was going on with my case. I was never told anything about my case for four years then I get a letter today saying I have to go find another attorney beca...use rasheed allen-dawson does not want to represent me anymore. I am a U.S. Army military officer please don’t give this attorney any business forever.

Publicly Reprimanded by FL Supreme Court

I hired Mr. Allen to represent me for a simple Landlord-Tenant case. Mr. Allen took my initial payment and told me that it was necessary to file my case. After 2 weeks, Mr. Allen contacted me again and demanded another substantial payment for an upcoming scheduled hearing. I asked Mr. Allen what beca...me of my initial payment and he quickly dismissed my inquiry stating it had been used in the initial filing. I paid him because I needed to get possession of my property back. To the short of it, I learned that Mr. Allen had filed the initial paperwork but he did not attend the hearing after I paid him. As a result, the court dismissed my case. I emailed him and called numerous times and left messages with his assistants but he never returned my calls or messages. I had to hire another attorney. It turns out he has a history of taking his client’s money and not following through on his cases. In October 2019, the Supreme Court of Florida Publicly Reprimanded him for taking his client’s money and not handling their cases. You can find the disciplinary action on the Florida Bar’s website. I wish I would’ve known.

I'd hire attorney Allen again.

Attorney Allen was very thorough and knowledgeable in all consultations. He took his time explaining and answering my questions. I felt that he was looking out for me in court and I am very satisfied with the outcome of my case.

Zero Stars Was Not an Option

I hired Rasheed and gave him all of my case information. In the 3 weeks he was hired, other than the initial consultation I never spoke to him once. His communication skills are completely lacking. He only communicated with me verbally through his paralegal. He suggested an expert 3 weeks into the ca...se when all the evidence was gone (which I had to pay for) and when I disputed and requested to speak with him regarding the matter for clarity, he dropped my case, again without ever speaking to me personally. In the release he stated that I made inconsistent statements which is a complete lie. I refused to sign it until he called me and spoke with me about the matter so he electronically closed it the case on his own.. How he was able to do that is beyond me. I would never recommend him to anyone ever.
