Simply doesn’t care

My case was very poorly handled, or rather mishandled. I believed Mr. Campbell during my initial consultation but as soon as I hired him he changed the attitude. Multiple mistakes happened by him and the office that had to be corrected and when I pointed it out I was charged for corrections. Mr. Ca...mpbell doesn’t listen his clients and simply didn’t care about my case. He wouldn’t let me finish my sentences, days would go by to get an answer from him or Stephanie, documents weren’t filed on time, emails from a mediator were ignored. They made sure I know in every conversation that they have other clients and my case is not that important. I wish I could say that it was worth of money, but after spending a good sum (several thousands), Mr. Campbell just complicated, and purposely dragged the case… such a shame and I wish I knew better.

Overall FAIR Rating - Military Divorce Case

For an attorney that charges $250 an hour, I was disappointed in the legal services I received. I expected an attorney with in-depth knowledge of divorce law, military law and contract law; however, this proved to not be the case. My case involved a legal dispute between my ex-wife and me regarding a...n invalid court order concerning the division of my military retirement. As the case progressed, I considered firing Mr. Campbell on several occasions, but we were too far along into the case to start over with another attorney. His knowledge of military DFAS law and the Survivor Benefit Plan was limited and I often found myself informing him of what the military law stated. Mr. Campbell failed to read all of my martial settlement agreement (MSA) which I provided to him, resulting in him advising me of information which went against the language in my former MSA. When it was all said and done, I ended up paying 3 times the amount that my ex-wife paid for her attorney and settled my own case because Mr. Campbell did not want to go to mediation. I settled because I did not feel comfortable in Mr. Campbell’s legal counsel and knowledge regarding the laws and defense of the circumstances surrounding this case. Mr. Campbell’s Staff: Overall fair performance. They overcharged on their billing which I had to correct on several occasion. Months after signing a service fee contract, they raised the rate $25 an hour without any advance notice or explanation. They consistently failed to proof read the legal documents and sent correspondence to the court which was inaccurate. On a major note, they scheduled 2 hearings without my consent even after informing them in writing to not schedule hearing without my prior knowledge, these oversights resulted in major complications and thousands of dollars in additional legal expenses. Overall, Mr. Campbell is a nice guy and he's quick to response to inquiries; however, he seemed to be way out of his league regarding the legal knowledge and understanding of military DFAS law and the facts surrounding my case. I would not recommend him if you're looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of military divorce law.

This individual represented himself in his original divorce and agreed to give his ex wife half of his military retirement when she was only entitled to around 25%. He hired us yeas later to try to correct the problem he created. Case was resolved by agreement by both parties!!! Wife's entitlement was reduced to around 33% Some people are never satisfied.

Thank God for a Great/Honest Lawyer

My divorce/custody battle started overseas 4 years ago. When I hired Mr. Campbell the divorce/custody was already done and signed by the judge yet not even 4 months later we were having issues. Mr. Campbell took the time to re-write our custody agreement into plain language and has been by side the... entire time. If I have a question on what to do or how to interpret something, he and his team is right there with the answer and guidance. Now 4 years since I have retained him I have had to go back to court with my ex and Mr. Campbell is once again right by side reassuring me, explaining the process (while speaking plain english) and ensuring the right thing is done. What I like best about Mr. Campbell is not only is he going to look out for his client's interest but the interest of the child. He will give you the honest truth about how its going to be looked at and let you know if you truly are in the "right". He's not after your money so rather than waste your time with phone calls and back and forth documentation (which can add up) he let's you know in one shot. He'll give you the facts of what things may cost you, how your case fairs based on the information you have provided and let you decide. In no way is he pushy. With what I have went through over the past 4 years and having to do this as a military parent, I don't know what I would have done without him.

Child Custody/Support for Unwed Mother

Mr. Campbell came highly recommended by a close friend when we were seeking legal advise for my daughter, who is an unwed mother, regarding the custody/child support for her daughter. He listened to us and never judged us or my daughter's situation. He was always willing to listen to our side, but ...also give his legal opinion on the best way to handle the case since of course when dealing with a custody/support issue of a child much of our side was emotion driven. He has always been available to answer our questions and respond to our needs in a most expedient manner. His staff is one of the best to work with. His legal assistant goes above and beyond and has always been courteous and helpful as well. I would not hesitate to use his services again as well as highly recommend him to anyone.

Outstanding Legal Representation

I would highly recommend Mr. Campbell for all of your family law needs. I am a returning client. Mr. Campbell has represented me in two contempt hearings and a child support hearing, and we have won every hearing. Mr. Campbell is a tiger in the courtroom. He points out inconsistencies in document...s and testimonies given by “the other side,” he objects often when it is necessary, and knows what he is doing. Mr. Campbell does not sugarcoat anything. He clearly outlines the best-case scenario as well as the worst possible case scenario. He does an outstanding job at making sure his clients know what the law states, and he has the ability to explain it so that the average, non-law speaking person can understand. Mr. Campbell is very quick to return emails and phone calls. Before hiring Mr. Campbell, I had contacted several other attorneys. Mr. Campbell was the only one that gave me the impression that he wanted to help me. The others did not seem to care one way or the other. Mr. Campbell’s staff is some of the most professional, polite, and respectful individuals I have ever had the pleasure to talk to. His staff worked with me on making payments, kept me informed on court hearings, and when I needed additional documents for an out-of-state attorney, his staff sent me the documents immediately. The client intake forms and payment schedules were clear and concise. I knew what I was paying for and when. Should I ever need legal representation again, I WILL return to Mr. Campbell and his staff.
