Knight in Shining Armor,

I retained Mr. Campbell in 2014 due to custody issues, and to this day he is still my attorney for custody/child support issues. My ex is a very manipulative and controlling person and, in the past, I had been very scared to stand up to him; however, with Mr. Campbell and his team by my side I am no... longer scared to fight. He goes above and beyond and is truly remarkable at what he does, he knows how to fight for you and protect you and your children. I consider him a knight in shining armor, anyone that gets to be his client is truly blessed. If you are dealing with custody or child support issues and need someone to fight for you, go nowhere else, you will not be disappointed.

Overall FAIR Rating - Military Divorce Case

For an attorney that charges $250 an hour, I was disappointed in the legal services I received. I expected an attorney with in-depth knowledge of divorce law, military law and contract law; however, this proved to not be the case. My case involved a legal dispute between my ex-wife and me regarding a...n invalid court order concerning the division of my military retirement. As the case progressed, I considered firing Mr. Campbell on several occasions, but we were too far along into the case to start over with another attorney. His knowledge of military DFAS law and the Survivor Benefit Plan was limited and I often found myself informing him of what the military law stated. Mr. Campbell failed to read all of my martial settlement agreement (MSA) which I provided to him, resulting in him advising me of information which went against the language in my former MSA. When it was all said and done, I ended up paying 3 times the amount that my ex-wife paid for her attorney and settled my own case because Mr. Campbell did not want to go to mediation. I settled because I did not feel comfortable in Mr. Campbell’s legal counsel and knowledge regarding the laws and defense of the circumstances surrounding this case. Mr. Campbell’s Staff: Overall fair performance. They overcharged on their billing which I had to correct on several occasion. Months after signing a service fee contract, they raised the rate $25 an hour without any advance notice or explanation. They consistently failed to proof read the legal documents and sent correspondence to the court which was inaccurate. On a major note, they scheduled 2 hearings without my consent even after informing them in writing to not schedule hearing without my prior knowledge, these oversights resulted in major complications and thousands of dollars in additional legal expenses. Overall, Mr. Campbell is a nice guy and he's quick to response to inquiries; however, he seemed to be way out of his league regarding the legal knowledge and understanding of military DFAS law and the facts surrounding my case. I would not recommend him if you're looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of military divorce law.

This individual represented himself in his original divorce and agreed to give his ex wife half of his military retirement when she was only entitled to around 25%. He hired us yeas later to try to correct the problem he created. Case was resolved by agreement by both parties!!! Wife's entitlement was reduced to around 33% Some people are never satisfied.

Custody Issues

From the start I retained Mr. Campbell as my divorce lawyer. THREE AND A HALF YEARS LATER, yes, three years later, he is still my lawyer for my custody issues. I knew my case was going to be a tough one for me alone, but with Mr. Campbell and his team by my side we fought through it and ended in succ...ess! Without exploiting the details of my case, the length of time I've been a client of his should explain the confidence I have in this attorney. I would highly recommend Mr. Campbell and his team for their hard work, dedication, and knowledge relating to my case.

A dedicated, experienced professional

My own personal experience and knowledge of James's professionalism and work ethic lead me to hire him when my son got into legal trouble. His thorough understanding of the law and dedication to my son's case served us well, as we challenged some unsubstantiated charges and resulted in what I consid...ered to be our best possible outcome.

Legal Support for My Divorce

Mr Campbell was very up front from the beginning and was easy to work with. He was excellent when we went to court. He was also experienced enough to include a statement in the divorce agreement stating that the mortgage escrow account was an asset of mine. This was very helpful when the check ...arrived later with both our names on it.
