Simply doesn’t care

My case was very poorly handled, or rather mishandled. I believed Mr. Campbell during my initial consultation but as soon as I hired him he changed the attitude. Multiple mistakes happened by him and the office that had to be corrected and when I pointed it out I was charged for corrections. Mr. Ca...mpbell doesn’t listen his clients and simply didn’t care about my case. He wouldn’t let me finish my sentences, days would go by to get an answer from him or Stephanie, documents weren’t filed on time, emails from a mediator were ignored. They made sure I know in every conversation that they have other clients and my case is not that important. I wish I could say that it was worth of money, but after spending a good sum (several thousands), Mr. Campbell just complicated, and purposely dragged the case… such a shame and I wish I knew better.

Overall FAIR Rating - Military Divorce Case

For an attorney that charges $250 an hour, I was disappointed in the legal services I received. I expected an attorney with in-depth knowledge of divorce law, military law and contract law; however, this proved to not be the case. My case involved a legal dispute between my ex-wife and me regarding a...n invalid court order concerning the division of my military retirement. As the case progressed, I considered firing Mr. Campbell on several occasions, but we were too far along into the case to start over with another attorney. His knowledge of military DFAS law and the Survivor Benefit Plan was limited and I often found myself informing him of what the military law stated. Mr. Campbell failed to read all of my martial settlement agreement (MSA) which I provided to him, resulting in him advising me of information which went against the language in my former MSA. When it was all said and done, I ended up paying 3 times the amount that my ex-wife paid for her attorney and settled my own case because Mr. Campbell did not want to go to mediation. I settled because I did not feel comfortable in Mr. Campbell’s legal counsel and knowledge regarding the laws and defense of the circumstances surrounding this case. Mr. Campbell’s Staff: Overall fair performance. They overcharged on their billing which I had to correct on several occasion. Months after signing a service fee contract, they raised the rate $25 an hour without any advance notice or explanation. They consistently failed to proof read the legal documents and sent correspondence to the court which was inaccurate. On a major note, they scheduled 2 hearings without my consent even after informing them in writing to not schedule hearing without my prior knowledge, these oversights resulted in major complications and thousands of dollars in additional legal expenses. Overall, Mr. Campbell is a nice guy and he's quick to response to inquiries; however, he seemed to be way out of his league regarding the legal knowledge and understanding of military DFAS law and the facts surrounding my case. I would not recommend him if you're looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of military divorce law.

This individual represented himself in his original divorce and agreed to give his ex wife half of his military retirement when she was only entitled to around 25%. He hired us yeas later to try to correct the problem he created. Case was resolved by agreement by both parties!!! Wife's entitlement was reduced to around 33% Some people are never satisfied.

A thorough, meticulous and conscientious attorney with a great staff.

I retained Mr. Campbell after interviewing 4 or 5 other attys. My case has been ongoing for almost 3 years now, and with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, I couldn't be happier with my choice of legal representation. Mr. Campbell and his staff have been wonderfully helpful, friendly and courteous. ...Throughout the time that we've worked together, everything has been completed on time, in the correct format, and done right the first time. Mr. Campbell's suggestions and recommendations have all turned out to be well thought out and sound. During personal appearances in front of the judge, Mr. Campbell has always conducted himself in a experienced and professional manner. His demeanor conveys confidence, and has instilled the same in me. The support that his staff has provided has been flawless and left nothing to chance. Every detail has been checked and checked again, and then provided to me for review and input before being submitted to the court. It has been a true pleasure to have them on my team. I would highly recommend Mr. Campell and his staff to anyone who seeks legal representation or advice in Mr. Campbell's areas of expertise.

Exceptional

My family hired Mr. Campbell to assist us with a family matter that was complicated and had us traveling over a thousand miles trying to be mindful of statutes that governed two States. During the first meeting Mr. Campbell listened, took notes, asked many questions and agreed to take our case. The... case was complicated and involved many people with divergent personalities. Mr. Campbell was undeterred and determined to do what was right. Our second meeting Mr. Campbell produced the applicable Statutes and explained each in detail making certain that we understood the meaning of the terms and how they should be applied in our case. He was cognizant of the costs and financial hardship our family was experiencing and managed our time efficiently and effectively. He was available and acted quickly to respond and thwart immoral and underhanded efforts by the opposition. Mr. Campbell was compassionate and thorough. As the cased progressed, Mr. Campbell was receptive to all of our ideas and was passionate in his efforts to uncover and present the truth. When we were emotional, Mr. Campbell would cause us to pause and focus our attention on facts and truth. Rather than patronize, as in our prior experiences, Mr. Campbell would seek proof and validate our claims, follow up and made certain each and every fact necessary for introduction was presented. Mr. Campbell respects his clients. The staff was personable and professional. After the conclusion of our case, they continue to take a genuine interest in our situation and have made themselves available for questions and still respond to our requests. Mr. Campbell's advice wasn't always easy. We all believe we are "right" and true to that concept, Mr. Campbell strictly adhered to the law and advised us on "what" was right. He never provided false hope and he always fought vigorously on our behalf. Given a choice, our desire would have been to have Mr. Campbell represent us in the other State as well. We were blessed with his representation and will call upon him again if ever the circumstances require. Sincerely,
