Steven Wesley Bowden

Mr. Bowden helped me file my BP Oil Spill claim. I wasn’t even aware I qualified to file a claim until right before the deadline and Mr. Bowden was still able to pull all my paperwork together and get the claim filed on time. I like that I was able to speak to him to get my questions answered. If ...he wasn’t available, he was very good about calling me back in a timely manner. He’s a very reassuring attorney. I recommend him whenever any of my friends need an attorney.

Talks in circles, pads his billing, sexist, unethical behavior, rude, arrogant, bully, liar, loves to threaten to withdraw, etc. Need I go on? Don't hire this man. At times I wasn't sure he wasn't working against me. He has no interest in justice, only concerned with lining his pockets while you suff...er. He and his staff lose every document you give them and one doesn't know what the other is doing. You usually won't get a response until you've made (and paid for) numerous requests.

Mr. Bowden discriminated against me as a woman. He applied heavy handed tactics to force me to settle my divorce case for much less than I should. He also refused to build a case for me, call my witnesses, issue subpoenas, hire expert witnesses, or do anything to prepare for going to court. Mr. Bo...wden refused to answer phone calls in the days before my scheduled hearing so I had to fire him. I am so glad I fired him it was the best thing possible.

Mr. Bowden treated my case as if he was representing me even though I had not hired him. After telling him the specifics of my case, he wanted me to keep him up to date with what was going on. I am charged with domestic violence (cruelty towards a child) and the arresting police officer put things in... the report that were not true in the least. After my family met with the state attorney and told him that they wanted the whole thing dropped, I let Mr. Bowden know and he still offered advice on what to do next. I now have his cell phone number in case I need him at court.

Divorce is an awful thing to deal with. Steven will be the nicest person on the planet when you first see him, butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. But once he has your money pray you don't experience what my partner did. You will only ever get to talk to his staff and they don't know what they are doi...ng most of the time. He is not aggressive in court. You will hardly ever be informed on what is going on and even then decisions will be made without consulting you. He is stressful to deal with and divorce is stressful enough without your lawyer adding more. Don't believe all the positive reviews anyone can make accounts and write reviews . Look hard at the negative ones and pray that you are not going to be the next person writing one. My honest opinion is if you are female and going through a divorce the worst decision you will ever make is to contract this lawyer and if you do you will remember reading this and wishing you took notice of it. The best thing that happened to my partner is she contracted a different lawyer before her divorce ended. Which obviously happens allot as Stevens staff informed her Steven usually sends out a nasty letter when people do that. And they were correct -he did.
