In the abnormal world of bitter divorces and family ravaging child custody cases a person needs more than an attorney; that person needs a counselor who knows children, is more ...than familiar with divorce settlements, shares empathy for the war-torn victims of one-sided bullying, gets involved both professionally and emotionally with her clients and exhibits a mastery of case law practicing it on the high side of ethics and morality. In Jacksonville, that attorney is Cindy Lasky of the Lasky Law Firm. During a recent case involving our family Cindy Lasky needed all of the afore mentioned traits to lead us to victory in a courtroom dominated by difficult and harassing opposing attorneys and their determined client. She practiced the type of law and defense that rose above all the baseless trumped up charges, innuendo, and limitless petitions / motions brought by the opposition designed to influence a judge who wouldn’t have it. Cindy Lasky exposed all the falsehoods and mistakes of the opposition by using carefully worded case law precedents, and keeping exact records of statements made, issues visited, and claims asserted. All this was not without trepidation. Every step of the way to final victory, Cindy was all-in on both the work she needed to do, much of it after normal office hours, and the emotions that a mother feels for her own children and their welfare. Cindy Lasky was the whole package for us in our time of need and I can tell she does the same for all her clients. She surely made my day as the final judgement came down; and she made the many sleepless nights worrying beforehand disappear from my emotional memory. In addition, her staff is super-efficient, cordial, and comforting; and both the staff and Cindy made themselves amicably available for our many impromptu queries. Thank you.

I'm not one to typically write reviews, however, I feel so fortunate to have found the Lasky Law firm that I wanted to share my experience with others who are searching for a family law attorney. After doing some online research and contacting several different firms in town, I ultimately chose to w...ork with the Lasky Law firm. This decision was based solely on my phone conversations with the office staff and my initial meeting with Cindy Lasky — right away I felt the warmth, professionalism and confidence of their team. The Lasky Law firm handled two high conflict cases for me — a paternity case and a domestic violence case, both with the same individual. During the 10 months of litigation, Cindy and her team made me feel as if I was their #1 client — their level of responsiveness, pro-active approach and concern for my feelings was ever apparent. However, what I most appreciate about Cindy is her level of experience, integrity and direct style. Cindy is well-respected in the legal community, extremely knowledgeable about the law and understands the bigger picture/long-term strategy of the case. She is level-headed, respects the importance of timing and does not hesitate to be aggressive when needed. Although my case settled prior to trial I was confident that Cindy's vast trial experience would've served me well in court. Cindy is a woman with integrity who will always be upfront with you regarding the status of your case, whether its what you want to hear or not. Ultimately, I learned there will be good weeks and bad weeks during any lengthy litigation. What mattered most to me was that during those bad weeks, not only did I have an attorney that cared about my feelings, but I had one that was skilled enough to get us back to a good week quickly. I couldn't be more grateful to Cindy and her entire team.

Cindy was referred to me by a friend and I have not had any regrets on hiring her as my lawyer. Not only is she very knowledgeable in this proffesion but she is honest and I feel she tells you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear. She is very quick to answer any of my concerns whether ...it is during office hours or it is nine o'clock at night. She has shown nothing but kindness and understanding when I have spoken with her about my situation. Cindy Lasky has made it to where my family and I feel protected and safe and I will be thankful to her for that always.

I first hired Cindy Lasky in December of 2008. I had a domestic violence hearing I needed representation for. The retainer was comparable to other firms I called & I went with LLF based on their Folio Weekly “Top Family Law Lawyer” in Jax award. I was young & in fear for my life & my lawyer provid...ed great comfort & stood up for my rights in a way I could not have done myself. A few months later, they handled my Dissolution of Marriage (with children)-again, comparable retainer & excellent service. Fast forward to 2012, I had child support issues that needed handling & wanted to hold my ex accountable for years of neglecting my children & failure to pay child support. Cindy handled several hearings, mediations, & all kinds of motions to get us there. She is always on time, always prepared. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this woman. We ultimately ended up needing to arrange Termination of Rights & Step-parent Adoption. Cindy felt Heather (lawyer in office) would be a better fit for the case due to her experience in adoptions. Heather was just as wonderful as Cindy. As for her staff, I have never felt “brushed off” or “kept on the phone to prolong billable hours”. I used to be a bookkeeper & I keep exhaustive records of everything. I went over every monthly statement with a fine-tooth comb & only found one mistake once & it was fixed promptly. Desire (paralegal) is AMAZING. Answers e-mails within MINUTES. I read some of the negative reviews on here & I cannot imagine where they came from because I have experienced nothing but above & beyond service from these people. The only “negative” I can think of is Cindy is quite aggressive. (I don't find this to be negative though!) She takes her job seriously & is not going to waste your time or hers on drama and anything that is not going to ultimately help your case. She will tell you point-blank if something is relevant & usable or not in the courtroom. She is a “bulldog” & I would rather have Cindy in my corner than against me!!
